How about someone in the bank just puts here age in like 10 years younger than she is, what's the big deal if their system thinks he is 106 instead of 116?
https://www.epa.gov/smartway
Smartway certifications is basically energy-star for trucking companies and the railroads, you fillout an application, and they if it's good you get a certificate in the mail and you can claim your Smartway certified. I've seen companies that love to tell everyone they are certified, in reality, no one really cares.
I agree with what your saying, the only difference is between you and millennials is that you were taught not to put your personal stuff out there for others to see. You rarely heard about teenage pregnancy, or anything like that because if something go out everyone in your area knew about it and it was a scandal, or you only heard about the big stuff on the news. Plus you were probably raised that if you whined about anything then you would be considered a pussy. Where as the kids these days were brought up with facebook, and snapchat, and everything needs to be put out there because everyone else is doing it. There is just alot more noise now then with previous generations.
Don't be evil goes out the windows once you start having IPO's and you stock increases in value exponentially. Then the motto becomes, stay the course.
I'm sure that they think they made the best movie ever, but I agree, it's not possible for 100000 reviews when only 900 people saw it at the premiere. This is a very tough issue, it won't be really settled for a few generations more.
It is easily the first scifi film I remember watching when I was a kid, I remember most of the star wars and stuff but the first one I can remember was TRON.
I also vividly remember The Last Star Fighter, and Wargames.
As someone who owns 25 class 8 trucks, I like the idea, but I'm worried about how this will actually work. I'm all for going electric, as long as it's cost efficient vs what is currently available. You currently still need a driver, it can not be driver-less for a long time. Here is the thing, one of the main points of a drivers job is going inside a warehouse to find out what dock he is supposed to go into, then back into said dock and wait to get loaded/unload, part of that is securing the load, and then closing the back doors. If this thing is truly driver-less then who will do that. I could see this work for something like moving freight between 2 different facilities owned by the same company, what will happen when a small company that might not even have a dock, and have to hand load everything.
I get the guy is grieving because he lost his kids, but that is some of the dumbest things I've ever heard. For the price of that tesla, he could be driving a porsche, or any other sports, or luxury car which would have a similar speed. It might not be 0-60 in 3.1, but when your drunk it doesn't really matter if its 3.1 or even 5 seconds because at.21 BAC the driver was wasted. I can't say that I haven't done the same thing when I was in that state, but it really is like playing russian roulette.
I have used wireless chargers in the past, and they are 100 times better than using a usb cable. I don't mind using a cable, but its just soo much easier, to just be able to put your phone down on the charger and not have to deal with it. Now I have a phone with USB-C which isn't as bad, since it don't matter what side you stick it in the connector, but it's still more hassle than it should be.
I get that kids are coddled too much, but seriously, I don't see a lot of 25-35 year old executives of major corporations helping to make life easier for their generation. depending on what you read I was born in 1981 so I'm on the start of the millennial generation, I don't see anyone my age in any kind of real power, or trying to help make life easier, with maybe a few exceptions. Basically everyone is trying to milk everyone else form as much money as possible and no one gives a shit, and keeps blaming it on other factors or just how life is in general. IMHO it was the baby boomers are the ones that messed everything up for the generations after them. I wouldn't need to fix the world if the people before me didn't fuck it up.
There are plenty of reasons to marry and not have kids, such as saving on taxes, insurance, or even just making sure someone has the authority to make medical decisions if something should happen to you.
Unions do some very underhanded stuff now a days, if the guy was paid by the union to instigate unitization then I agree with Mr Musk.
I always say that unions were necessary up until the 80's, since then I have not seen them do anything other than destroy companies, and do almost nothing for their employees, all the while the union management walks away stuffing their pockets with cash.
5 nines is perfectly reasonable when you have a wired system, but not as much when you have a wireless one. Wired phones are alot less prone to interference or just damage in general

This sounds like a low flow toilet all over again

I hope they get rid of smartway as well, I'm pretty sure that whole program is useless.

Yes, the price difference is nothing now, some times its cheaper to get last years 4k tv vers this years 1080 one.
Ok, let me tell you about 3D TV's they are totally going to be the next big thing, every game and movie you buy will pop out of the screen.
It's probably 1.172 GHZ, the europeans are funkey with their commas
VR is a fad at best, no one will care in a few years, MS is pushing AR anyway, just look at the hololens,
They have the best dodge-ball tournaments, the announcers are hilarious, and the actions is pretty good too.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
I remember my first PC fondly, it was a Tandy Sensation from Radio Shack, that thing was CRAZY expensive at the time.
The just finished a similar project in Hawaii, just scale it up a bit. http://www.theverge.com/2017/3...

You should look at gaming laptops, some of them are a bit thick, but they really are true desktop replacements. https://www.asus.com/us/Notebo...
I never said it was difficult to put in a charging cable, I'm saying it's a pain in the ass to do it again after you get used to not having to do it.
