There is no way its the best of all 6. Its barely better than the first 2 prequels. The horrible acting etc. The ppl who said it was almost as good as Empire Strikes back were on acid or so blindly in love with George Lucas they couldnt objectively critique the film and see the completely bogus acting throughout that made me and most ppl i know cringe.
I agree completely with this. So many businesses use Exchange, which conveniently(or detrimentally) combines calendar/email/meetings/IM/etc etc that it makes it hard(impossible) to consider any other open source app. None of them are completely operable in combination with Exchange. Sure i can set evolution etc to imap and other, but it wont give me all the features i need for our employees. Im not against using another app one bit. Its just not possible without changing the fundamental core of our companys communication infrastructure.
I compare the ipod to a palm more than anything.

I compare the Ipod to the Palm handhelds more than anything else. Which is exactly why i havent purchased an ipod yet. Sure the ipod may be "revolutionary" but its integrateable technology. Soon to be assimilated(already even) into the cellphone. Just look at the PSP, its halfway there. MP3s/videos/web/gaming(minus cellphone). All of these techologies will be integrated into each other in the next few years. Making the ipod as insignificant in the future as a stand alone palm handheld is now. We can thank them for their contributions, but its going to be shortlived.
I was about to switch to OpenBSD because linux lacked this feature as well. Then i realized OpenBSD cant support my dual dual-core opterons, or my Nvidia 6800GT/SLI configuration. Oh i know OpenBSD is uber secure. But if i wanted a lackluster unfeatured OS just for security that had a tyrannical leader, i would have just installed MSDOS with a TCP/IP driver.
Have you actually used gfx programs to do more than make signatures for your anime club forums or backgrounds to trade with your AIM buddies? The gimp is in no way remotely as powerful as Photoshop.
While i know for a fact gimp is completely capable of doing many many things on a professional level. I would challenge you to side by side compare PS and Gimp and list what the gimp is actually more Powerful in.
"disappointment in Google Talk among many Jabber users"
All three of them? I mean seriously. Everyone i know uses GAIM with their AIM/MSN/Yahoo/ICQ etc. Even us hardcore Linux guys still cling to that AIM SN, dont lie.
I agree 100%.
IE7 looks to be very promising so far. Definitely has its problems still, and it wont be replacing my Firefox yet, but im always open to better products, OSS or not.
You have obviously never worked in an enterprise environment. If MS didnt have those icons, we would be getting 10000% more calls on how to get to the "interenet" and "email" and my files etc. You people fail to realize 99% of the users out there are complete morons and need to be babied through EVERYTHING! Until linux can do that, no matter how exploitable etc Windows is, it will always be on top. So get off your elitist asses and stop whining about it.
all GPL breeds is whiney Slashdotters like yourself. This isnt a utopian world nor will it ever be one. You should go move to a communist country if you want to find out what your all GPL world will end up like.
I for one look forward to the next Windows Server OS. And im absolutely sick of this sites direction to just repeatedly bash anything slightly positive Microsoft tries to do for there IMO great server software.
I completely agree with you. I have noticed in Windows and in linux mozilla and firefox exhibit the same problem. After being open, even doing NOTHING for hours to days, the program will basically go to crawl. i NEVER have this problem in IE. I still believe other than a few exploits, which any intelligent user can avoid, IE is still much more usable on a daily basis than FF or mozilla is.
Because Wil is the faggiest TNG character ever, and i was extremely happy to see him ago, along with millions of other star trek fans. THANK GOD there is no more wil. Nuff said.
The Wil fans are in the extreme minority. some sort of weird fetish or something
The larger window for malicious attacks to come out for IE in an attempt to take the spotlight off all of the Firefox exploits lately. While true, its transparent.
Some would call it a success, some would call it slashdotting.
See hwo big the spike is 2 days from now after the word is out how lame the commercials are.
Reposts/spelling errors/erroneous stories/bad editing is becoming very common here lately for some reason. Must be the choice of submittors as of late. Sad.
You are hiding behind inane claims to cover that you are just a cheapskate. I will always use onboard sound/nics/etc. THat leaves me with lots of open PCI or other slots. I only have to use a slot for my GPU. Saves on voltage, etc. Most onboard sound is on par with consumer offerings from Creative Labets etc. But of course if you want a cheap mobo, u would obviously be reusing old equipment so that is a non-issue. I like them how they are.
You should remember to teach our kids with MS products, since that is what they will need to know in college and in the workplace. I realize some colleges and workplaces use Open office, but in reality its a VERY SMALL minority. You might save your district money, but you would be doing a disservice to the youngsters. Sad but true.
Wow, we use Norton Corporate in a company with a userbase of 10k+. I think its a great server that has many tools that make adminning that many users AV software and updates a breeze. No security issues here!
Sounds like you guys need to research more into the Security before your AV servers.
You mean the valid reasoning of anything Open Source or Linux is > MS/IE?
Speak for yourself there buddy. You are one of the many here too blind to objectively see the CONS of FF. Im not saying there arent plenty of pros, but there are plenty of valid points the author makes that YOU and many others here dismiss just because it doesnt flow with your jaded opinion.
And all of the sudden its a bad article..
There is no amount of proof anyone could show you people to make you believe Firefox wasnt better than IE. It could be blatantly in your face and you would still call it a bias false paper. Get over it.

Whats that???
(get my drift?)

They are about as Bogus and Firefox flaunting 80 million downloads. I have probably accounted for 1000 of those myself.
I agree 100%. IE7 looks to be very promising so far. Definitely has its problems still, and it wont be replacing my Firefox yet, but im always open to better products, OSS or not.

Because microsoft can always use extra help in the continuing development of its excellent windows product for the masses.

You mean the Liberal Anti-US mind? Sorry speak for yourself and not the "HIVE"
"LATELY" not FOREVER. The rise of Firefoxs popularity has seen the increase of exploits and vulns. Read, dont translate.

These commercials are a complete waste of bandwidth. They make no sense, and are not funny in anyway imagineable.
