The reason Android can be relied upon to play nice, is that, as the only one of the platforms with open code access, you can write the app you need to get it to sync correctly with Evolution - or worst case, convert your Evolution files to what the Android's syncing functionality uses. Either of these solutions, which are not currently possible on a majority of other mass-market smartphones, should work to fit your needs - possibly with the hiring of a handy coder or two or paying someone to write it for the Evolution project.
The other nice part about Android is that there's a fair array of sets - great way for the boss to show off his boss-ness by getting a recent top-of-the-line while your group handles (surprisingly cheap for a smartphone!) sets from last year, WITHOUT losing compatibility with the key app you need.
I believe that Blackberries can also support custom apps, though if your business does FOSS for the sake of Freedom, as opposed to simply cost, the Android OS, being GNU GPL (even if the specific implementation in many phones isn't), may better suit your wishes anyhow.
I would argue, instead, for showing multiple moderations, so that both "Funny" and "Insightful" can be applied visibly. If only because "pure WIN" would probably require an "epic FAIL" counterpart, and I'm pretty sure that would make the moderation environment worse than it already is, sadly.
Valve has, in the past, been less OK with selling items (except craftsworks - there's a reason they started offering the Headcrab plushies!), but they have been OK with unsold goods like comics.
Console devs are often OK with smiling at derivatives that are games... As long as they don't reuse assets (See fanmade Touhou games for a fair example of this, because I can't think of anything better atm)... Or they're not games that do (see: 8-bit Theater).
I'm going to be polite and assume you meant "the religion or the organization". It would not be cool to protest Christianity, but it is PERFECTLY okay to protest Westboro Baptist Church. By the same vein, it's not cool even among Anons to insult Scientology itself - but the CHURCH of Scientology (as opposed to the Freezone)?
There are many Bible-thumpers who would love the idea of jerking off to "Christian Moral Values" works. You think I'm making this up, of course. You haven't seen how screwed up some hardcore Christians can get.
This isn't technically rootkitting, but STEALTHING, and yes they do that...
And Blizzard couldn't... Until now. Now they could easily have Warden be like "search for the program file".
This one's not too hard to work around either, though, from a botter's standpoint... I could easily imagine writing a bot that you put on a laptop, which has a USB cord that you link to your DESKtop. Start WoW client on fullscreen, help the bot identify your settings, and it can fake being a USB Keyboard/Mouse combo to control the game.
Port the bot to Linux, and put it on that $200 Wal-Mart machine (admittedly not a lappy, but the example still holds), and the cost of entry is pretty low.
If you think there are not botters this persistent, you do NOT know WoW players very well. Thus why I've said that purely technical measures are unlikely to EVER 100% stop botting or hacking.
Not... Entirely correct, assuming you want to stop paying and not just stop PLAYING.
However, the web forms for cancellation are easy to work with, make reasonable retention efforts (while at the same time sorta parodying retentions departments), and when you cancel, you're told that yes it's done, and you just made a baby orc cry. You heartless bastard.
(No, I'm not making that up.)
This one actually does not work anymore; it's too easy to stealth processes (the Sony Rootkit debacle people keep bringing up ironically was exactly how botters did this for a while, since the rootkit stealthed ALL processes that started with $, not just it's own!). However, there's a point where you have to give up the ghost and go to other methods that I'm frankly amazed they didn't go to first - like having GMs actively patrol the servers, looking for bot-like behavior (because trust me, you can tell if it's a bot or human playing). More expensive, yes, but also more effective and less offensive (even if it leads to a few retard players getting accused constantly of using bots when in fact it's they themselves who are getting stuck on that rock).
Robert Langdon has eidlectic memory. He could be remembering a Soviet Russia joke on his own, at which point his non-Internet partners-in-action don't get the reference. He shrugs and wonders why he can't forget, I dunno, Goatse even though he wants to.
"Heck, I'm a "right-wing nutcase" and I think the guy is off his rocker."
Self-contradictory; a real right-wing nutcase would automatically assume him right ignoring all facts to the contrary (given his views are decidedly God-driven and conservative, Billary support notwithstanding). You're what we like to call a "thinking conservative", AKA the ones who can appreciate leftist views even as they believe right-wing views to be better. (Switch 'left' and 'right' and you have a "thinking liberal" - please don't start on calling it an oxymoron).
... And you just got bit by it. In all honesty, the fact that Microsoft admitted the problem enough to take significant (not just 'free replacement!') efforts to fix it is more a good thing than a bad - if they can reduce the complaints without increasing prices, then where's the beef?
Toilet water the first time, clean water the second time. Makes good sense to me. Batteries and electronics don't break as easily under water as people think. There IS real hazards with electrocution and such, don't get me wrong, but a lot of these devices are built with at least some of the stupid things people can do to them in mind.
I seriously question the results of this being as good as other designs I've seen, from looking at the parts list.
The use of springs in particular worries me - moving parts on DDR pads are not a good thing, as they introduce a critical breaking point.
I've seen light-based sensor designs (from a couple sadly cancelled arcade dance game projects) that work better by minimizing part motion and allowing you to actually hit the things with your hands (anyone who has played Expert songs on the Stepmania-based game In The Groove will recognize the importance of this!).
I wonder who that's failed for recently *cough*Sony*cough*
(Admittedly, these guys aren't being QUITE as brazen about it as Sony was, but...)
I'll withold judgement on the item advertised itself since I don't know how good it is.
"Compromise" on the overall hardest one to use with the fewest games on it (albeit some of the best, especially in the indie scene)? Pardon me not seeing the logic here, but in the context of these commercials, Linux combines the worst of both worlds - the obscurity of MacOS with the program glut of Windows.
Comment not meant as a troll, and Linux has lots of advantages when you go beyond what's described in the ads, just saying.
In other news, SOE is 100% committed to pissing off it's existing playerbases in desperate hope to steal customers from World of Warcraft.
Success probability? I give it 5% unless they really, REALLY get things rolling with SWG's NGE, and FAST.
And you missed the joke. "NEIN", as in GERMAN, anyone?
I don't believe EITHER of these deals is really all that significant, although both are interesting. I'm guessing that this deal goes through just like the Dubai one did, in all honesty.
Arab management companies? Sure, it's a show of confidence in them.
Israeli technology companies? NEIN. WE MUST NOT ALLOW FOREIGNERS TO CONTROL OUR TECHNOLOGY. NEIN.
To be a hint more accurate...

Funny, but I can't help but think we can do better...
... Still doesn't feel right....
YO DAWG, we heard you like side-games, so we put a prequel in your sequel so you can play the past while you pay the future!
Not quite sure that "Funny" is the mod here. "Insightful", hell yes. Now, some of the replies? They get "funny."

Weird, overall, regardless.
A while back, she's been confirmed to have supported Stevens...
Now, however, she's talking quite a bit of talk against him, implicitly, by her status as a "Maverick" (yeah, right).
Proud to be posting this from my home in Anchorage.

Or, they go a seemingly-workable whitelist route and then get sued for, say, putting xenu.net on the whitelist.
The way it's treated these days, it's not that much higher than that anymore.

Actually, normally Step 3 is the unknown one, so it should be: 1. Write worm 2. Get job as internet security consultant 3. ??? 4. PROFIT!

Once again, Slashdot catches up to 4chan and makes me laugh harder. :D
