I was just happy that my professor let me use my TI BA-20 calculator on my last test. I figured it would give me an edge over all the kids using a TI-89.
(Yes I did actually use that on my last test, granted it was only college algebra and it was so many years since I've had to use my graphing calculator that I just grabbed what was available as I couldn't find mine.)
And to go one further, sometimes your best bet instead of going authentic is to go game worn. I will use baseball for this example (have we covered all the sports yet?) The year before last I wanted to buy a Twins jersey. I had already ordered an Authentic Personalized Jersey which was $250 bucks, but it wouldn't be ready for the season opener. I had a few extra bucks and went into the Twins Pro Shop to look at buying another one off the shelf. For a laugh I went to check the price of game worn jerseys. Turns out I could buy one of the lesser players game worn jerseys for $30 cheaper than buying an authentic jersey. Walked out with a game worn Jon Rauch jersey. Figured even if he left the Twins it would be fun to have a jersey from the tallest player to ever play Major League Baseball.
Granted it would be an independent run for a state house seat. I live in a rural part of the state and plan to run as a pure independent. I've begun laying the groundwork for my campaign including web design and planning ways of fundraising and how to get my name out there. I plan on leveraging technology to help me compete in the race, allowing me to be in touch with each and every member of district. I say plan to run throughout my post as I have to collect the necessary signatures for my petition to get on the ballot, and they can only be collected within a short period next year.
I've always thought Rick at ballparkmagic had a great idea for instant replay and having it so it doesn't affect the length of the game. (there is a lot of discussion and reasoning he puts forth, but I excerpted the basics below.
http://www.ballparkmagic.com/Tools.html
The replay ump watches a monitor constantly, most likely in one of the camera wells or in another place adjacent to the field designated for this purpose. He sees replays of everything, much like the viewers at home. He is concentrating on the game constantly just like all the other umps, only by watching the camera coverage instead of the direct action. He has access to every camera angle (home, visitor, Fox, TBS, scoreboard, etc.), though he probably doesn't need all of them. One good angle is usually enough.
After a controversial play, if there's an argument, the manager has the right to ask for a review of the play (politely, of course). The umpire on the field decides whether to allow the appeal. If not allowed, there's no recourse. If allowed, the replay ump's decision is final.
If the replay ump sees a potentially game-changing error (like the Mauer foul call or the non-double-play in Anaheim), he would have the responsibility to alert the crew chief immediately that the call was blown and needed to be fixed.
If you don't mind a bit of a plug for a good radio station (it's from Minnesota Public Radio so no commercials except the occasional fund drive, they stream over the net too) check out The Current ( http://minnesota.publicradio.org/radio/services/the_current/ ) they play around half of those artists.
Thanks for posting those. I remember that game from when I was a kid, and I could never remember what game it was. I always thought of it when I thought of holograms.
Well I picked up some Ice Armor Clam Gloves that have leather in the inside of the hand and neoprene on the outside that will allow me to do the swipe with the iphone. I didscovered it completely on accident, up till then I was thinking of following a howto I saw online on how to stich a certain type of thread into your gloves to make it work. Maybe it's just some leather gloves have the right resistance in the leather to simulate skin.
Alternatively some of us take a few days to get around to reading articles. I don't usually mark people down as trolls, but it could be the reason why you are not seeing the moderation until later.
Well I've had it running now for about 6 months and it hasn't blue screened yet, and it is in a decent PC with a good video card. Just turned off all the aero stuff because I don't need it.
The Tuner card is about 5-6 years old an old all in wonder that I got for 100 bucks. The vista copy is a version I bought for my gaming PC when it first came out. Didn't like it so I went back to XP so I had the Vista sitting around too.
The computer I installed it on originally came with Ubuntu, but I couldn't seem to figure out how to custom set the resolution to fit my TV set, and after searching the forums I couldn't find an answer otherwise I would have tried to get Myth TV going. I couldn't so I just used Media Center in Vista.
I'm not a complete incompetent when it comes to computers, I've been building and fixing and maintaining my own for about 10 years now. Been tempted to give Ubuntu another try on an old laptop I have laying around so I'm not anti-linux. But Vista (or XP) Media Center but be a more user friendly solution for some people.
And as a clarification when I said that it is the same functionality for free I meant with no monthly fees. The cost of Vista and my tuner card from all those years ago is the same price I paid for my TiVo which now sits on a shelf until I put it up on craigslist.
I used to use Tivo till I got tired of paying the monthly fee and not being able to do HD. So I just invested in a TV tuner card, installed Vista on a decent PC I had and now I have all the functionality I had used before with my Tivo for free.
Granted I have to use a mouse now instead of a remote, but it works just fine for me. I can still export all my video, edit out commercials and archive it, but now I can record HD over the air so I don't have to pay for cable television any more.
I've tried Eve a few times and basically like mining and such. But is there a way to find out what is a good corp and a bad corp? Or a good place to find a corp to work with? I've been thinking of starting again and was hoping to find some information like this. Or even just a good new user starter guide.

I've seen this critique in a few places, but while watching the scene to me it seemd that he tried to deploy his cape so he could fly away and wasn't successfull. I had assumed though with the cape flapping and partially depoyed that he'd managed to slow it down enough so that they didn't completely splat. At least that is what I saw while they were falling.
On a sort of related idea, what's to stop computer repair places, to instead sell used computers? Someone has a problem with the computer, they just stop in and give the store their PC for free as it's broken. Then the retail establishment can fix their own computer (as that shouldn't need a license right? Just fixing other people's computers). Then selling said used machine back to the original owner for a cost equal to the repair? So basically you still fix computers, but you fix your own and not others. If the original owner thinks the cost for the 'used' PC would too much you can just give it right back to them.
Exactly, here in MN it takes money that you would have paid anyways and directs it to the political party of your choosing. I don't remember seeing it this year, but in the past it let you choose one of our major partys. (Democrat, Republican, Green, and Independant)
I think there is, shortly after the spoiler that everyone is talking about. The second to last bullet point could be considered a spoiler if you read into it, could also be a red herring.
And I know it's a bit older, but there used to be a great C64 game where you had to design your space station, hire astronauts, schedule shuttle launches to get your space station into orbit, actually build it and land your shuttle. If this MMORPG was anywhere near as fun as that game was when I was a kid, I could see it taking up a lot of my gaming time. I wish I could find that old C64 game and emulate it, but I can't remember the name or find it anywhere.
Hehe I'll be your friend.:)
Seriously though if anyone does have a spare set of keys I wouldn't be adverse to getting a set. Then when I can afford orange box (for TF2, the first game wrecked my life when it was on HL I spent waaaay too much time playing it) I can pass the codes for HL2 and HL2:EP1 to someone else.
Well truth be told he's not the only one, or maybe I'm your coworker:) I bought my place a little under a year ago. It is smart to have a low limit credit card, kept up to date. You also want to make sure you pay all your bills on time. If you do not have a credit history you will have to provide credit reference letters from electricity, phone, rent, etc that say how often you pay online. WoW accounts work because it is a monthly bill that gets paid on time:)
Heck if this thing had college textbooks that you could download to it, I'd purchase it in a second.... hmmm now I wonder if the books might be out on torrents or something that I could use with it if nothing else. But I'd prefer to buy the textbooks in an electronic form because that's legal and my work would re-imburse me for it:)
The VX2025 is showing at 420 or so on newegg which isn't so bad. I'm interested in a comparison between that and the Dell2005FPW. About 400 bucks seems a nice price point for a widescreen 20 inch monitor.

Spare one for my gmail address djscherr ?
Yes they use the same plug. And the sequence is to hold the power button down while turning it on for five seconds or so until it beeps.

I don't think it was. Besides everyone knows Vanilla WoW you were capped at 60

The only problem is, it's a little bit difficult to have a black latte. For regular coffee though I'd agree.
