Sounds like the DS. Dual Screens? I know it doesn't say anything about having the glass track-pad as a screen, but what other use is there for making it glass?
As someone who would be hit by the Japanese fine (waist - 38 inches), I would welcome a elevated tax on junk food. I think it's a great idea. It makes the tax totally avoidable, and doesn't force punishment on anyone for just being who they are. Will it make some people thinner? Possibly, but I don't want to make the mistake in assuming that waist size is a direct-linear proportion to how much junk food you eat. Some people's body's just seem to get fat on all but the leanest/borderline malnutrition inducing diets.
This and all CSI type investigative technics should be taken as scary in theory, but non-threatening in reality. Why? Because they're expensive. You can rest assured that only the most serious crimes will warrant this type of expenditure. For goodness sake's, our US bridges are falling apart, and those are used everyday. If we can't afford that, you can rest assured that money will also be tight when investigating criminal activity.
Watch me as I demonstrate the power of a free market economy and not fly on any plane that has a camera in every seat-back to watch all of its passengers. I will pay extra to avoid this intrusion on my privacy.
There, problem corrects itself, business world moves along fine without this horrible idea.
(Airlines cannot afford to keep their planes fueled and repaired. Do you think their going to pay to install new seats?)
Watch and laugh as his site traffic slips to nothing. Good by Ad-Revenue jerk. Maybe he's thinking that this print-media thing is bound for a "come back".
Um, won't they be essentially doing this with CDMA? Or does the new freq preclude them from using this "almost" proprietary (sorry Sprint) standard? Hardware wise that is.
Seriously, as far as I'm concerned, there's only one aspect of Apple that I'm concerned with...their Products. I don't care one iota what Steve's "management style" is, or if his employees are "happy". I don't work there and I've never meet the man. Personally, by whatever method it comes to be (closed door meeting or employee adventure getaway), I just want A2DP for my iPhone (and the ability to pair with a Bluetooth GPS unit). I'm seriously considering leaving my "perfect" UI behind for some good old M$ functionality. You can flip back and forth between the Weather page on an iPhone for only so long before you get bored.
With most of the Police Chases I, II, III, IV,... there always seems to be a desire to portray the police as infallible, reliable, honest, level headed, better then everyone. While I do like cops, I know that this is an exaggeration. Is there any reason why public domain footage of police stops, copter cams, dash cams, couldn't be aired on a show, regardless if whether or not it paints the police as "good guys"?
Ahhh! I stand corrected. It was my wife's old Mac, I only assumed iPhoto came bundled with the OS. Now I understand, though it is different then what I am used to with M$ software. Not "bad", just different. Maybe an argument could be made on whether it's better to keep all the components included with a new Mac in the OS, but maybe not. I guess with OSX's cheaper pricepoint then Windows, it's expected.
Speak with your dollars, it's the only thing ALL Major Companies hear. Buy a Windows Mobile or Symbian phone next time, I intend to. I like my iPhone, but I'm wicked burned by the hobbled Bluetooth. I will put up with buggie WM if it allows me to link with a BT stereo head unit or GPS device.
Wrong, they make their money off of Hardware, Content (iTunes), Contract Fees (AT&T), AND Software (30%, OSX, iLife). I remember iPhoto coming with OSX, was surprised when I didn't receive it with Leopard. I did upgrade from 10.3 to 10.5 though.
Please have both English and Metric Sockets...
It sounds silly, but they already drove a Martian lander into the dirt for what is almost the same reason....Oh wait, it's Canadian. Does that make a difference?
Law is a slow beast to change, by design. Technology will advance much faster then Law. As a result, we'll continue to see issues like the one we face with "patent infringement". But, Law does eventually change to correct itself. I'm relieved to see that things are working as they should.
If they do die a "comic book ghetto" death, it won't be for lack of anything else to do. They'll most likely be replaced by something more entertaining. Like train sets, kites, slot cars, race tracks,...the list (of still fun activities) goes on and on. I loved comic books as a kid. Still do to some extent, but I've out grown them. I haven't stopped buying them because they're no longer "cool". The stories are just too over dramatic for my 32-year-old sensibilities, and I don't have +$5 dollars to spend on a 10 minute read. I still love D&D, but haven't played since my Navy days. I never have the time, don't know any more good DM's, and my wife would probably leave me if I allowed it to take over my life.
Sorry, water boarding is not currently approved or legal. However, it was not to long ago...and could be again, if the mood is right. Glad we have a transparent legal system that doesn't change month to month.
IMPEACH for crimes against the American people.
Couldn't you make all the same statements in relation to Society in general, not just the Catholic Church? "they consider it as they were created and taught in a group that needs common beliefs and goals, forgoing personal good for the group's good, and assimilation, to survive." Though it does sound "bleak" the way you put it, this seems to have a common thread with civic minded individuals who just want to help their neighbor.
Que the "weird music" and a black monolithic...weber charcoal grill.

Now the solution for 5,000 and 1 problems in your life. Though Electrical Tape might be better for aesthetic reasons.

Woops, thanks for the correction.

Can we just move over to Craigslist. Sure, it's not ideal, but It'll do in a pinch.

I agree with everything but the "hanging". I'd prefer "general population", or Guantanamo Bay.

Here's a link to the recent senate voting records including the FISA bill. Go there regularly, monitor your senator. It's WAY more important then anything else on this site. http://www.senate.gov/pagelayout/legislative/a_three_sections_with_teasers/votes.htm
...It probably will barely even sell. Too bad
