Oh what a load of... I'm in a bit of a bad mood because of the news here, but really, where's the secret? That Finland and Germany were allies is no secret, it's documented history. When you go to war, you pick any allies you can get. That goes for any country, any time. Other Europians don't know about Finland fighting alongside the Axis powers? Really? Since when was that? I never knew any Europians who didn't know this and I've known plenty. More importantly, what has it got to do with the news discussed here?

That's why I'm not completely surprised to read about Auvinen's Nazi obsession.. it's a disturbing secret of Finnish history.
Even Israel has neonazis these days (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6985808.stm) which sounds about as stupid as anything to me. It just goes to show that some people are always attracted to stupid, evil ideas and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with history. Explaining a tradegy like this (a young kid going ballistic, ending and/or destroying countless lives including his own) with stuff that happened 60+ years ago is just about as smart as explaining it all with computer games.

Yes. The student is to blame for attacking the hospital network. In completely unrelated case, the hospital or whoever it is that's responsible for taking care of the network may be guilty of criminal negligence. Finally, if (as) it's a well known fact that the adware companies pay commissions based on unauthorized installations of their software, the adware companies themselves may very well be guilty of inciting these actions. I believe they should be. All these cases are unrelated however and in this particular case, shouldn't lessen the blame of other parties.

No, it would be a nice way to get the shareholders sue the board for criminal negligence, or some such thing. Seriously, the only problem here is that MS doesn't want to play nice, and it getting it's face slapped for it. This has been discussed and argued so many times here it's getting a bit tiresome, but here goes one more time. MS is a defacto monopoly in many fields and thus it is target to some special rules that try to prohibit it from leveraging it's market dominance in an unfair way. This is supposed to protect the customers and personally, I believe it does. Merry christmas.

It didn't take 10 years for me. After spending a couple of months in San Francisco area and then visiting a friend in New York, I was shocked to see how different the culture was. Well, not as much shocked as surprised, although I must say that crossing the street in NY almost got me killed the first couple of times. In SF drivers tend to yield to pedestrians, not so in NY. Also what they say about New Yorkers being always in such a hurry, it seemed true. Strange. It felt like a different country after San Francisco.

Yes, I am nit-picking here. The point is, if the end product has to be *truly* flawless, there's no easy, fast and cheap way to produce the code. It's going to be difficult, slow and expensive, and you have to target a very specific platform for your software product.

Unfortunately, the western powers and USA in particular have a lot to do with those radicalized people lacking food, safety and means to take care of their families. There's a good reason why it's the US flag Palestinians are burning instead of, say, the Swedish flag. The question of Palestine seems to be a genuine insult to many a muslim, and USA is very closely and visibly linked to it by always supporting the actions of Israel, no matter what. Also it's about the presence of foreign (US) troops on the holy land. As you can see, there's many reasons to choose from, and not all of them are just envy.
