Little in features??? Did you see the screenshots???? Dude, they have frosted glass with semi-transparent drop-shadows!!! Are you out of your mind!!!! Geez!!!
No, professional film makers use Betacam (and Betacam SP). The only things similar is the tape size. Betamax is a consumer level product that is technically very similar to VHS.
That really reminds me of HAM (hold and modify) mode on the Commodore Amiga/video Toaster. I really got used to scrolling around in virtual rez mode. I came across a similar situation about 3 years ago when I botched an X11 configuration. I wasn't as happy about it then
I found out that all the function keys on my Dell were supported. That was useful. (Volume up/down CD Eject - even had the pretty osx graphics associated with those functions)
We have also found out that since MacOS X is based on Darwin, much more hardware is supported right out of the box. I had AC97 sound and Broadcom Ethernet without any fooling around.
Do a google search for orbital resonance mars. It may be that planet orbits aren't as stable as we think. After all, we weren't around 60,000 years ago to witness the orbits.
Ok, we have phones that recognize my walk. We have phones that recognize my face.
I'm just waiting for a phone that remembers my wife's birthday, and I will be totally replaceable!
Yeah, google for "orbital resonance mars" while you are at it. Apparently the provovative notion is that Mars used to rise 50 times bigger than our moon. The resulting cataclysm is why all calendars moved from a 360 day year to a 365 day year in 701 BCE.
Having used a Mini-Moog, I can tell you it is far from compact, and it is certainly not easy to use. Other than that, the Mini is nothing short of brilliance. Two VCOs form the basis of its authoritative sound. It falls short of a full blown ADSR, but it gets the job done.
One interesting thing I read is that there was a club that used to have jam sessions where guys would bring out their Minis and set them all to the same EXACT settings and exhibit completely different sounds.
The digital reproductions can't hold a candle... but those analogs could NEVER stay in tune...
So let me get this straight... Jeremy Allison, Andrew Tridgell, Gerrald Carter, John Terpstra etc write a tool that reverse engineers Microsoft/LanMan protocols and I am supposed to feel all warm and fuzzy...
Andrew writes a tool to reverse engineer BitKeeper and I am supposed to be pissed???
So, is this a case of "it's okay to do it to MS, just not one of our own"?
i'm sorry, I meant this as sarcasm...
Warning: My sarcasm wasn't XML 1.0 compliant. Perhaps it should have read:
Thanks a lot Slashdot... now everyone's going to know...
...and then what will we ever do??? Oh yeah, repaint....
Or maybe those of us in other timezones have started drinking already....

Yeah, nothing like Photoshop's $489.....

Size mattereth not... well a little.
What I can't stand is paying $1100 for a 14" iBook with a ton of gfx memory and still being limited to 1024x768 video!!! That is a false limitation.

Yes, there were many nice surprises.

1. Download MP3s
2. Lose your mother
3. Profit???
You know, it's funny but I was thinking the exact same thing....
Of course I should get less. I'm sitting here surfing Slashdot at 8:03 in the morning. The others are actually working!
I was waiting for someone to make this allusion...
"the first compact, easy-to-use synthesizer"

Yeah, they actually had an instrument called the Moog Rogue. Pronouncing it Moo-g would have thrown off that clever little moniker.
Herbert the cow made me fall out of my chair laughing. Then I realized that cows are females.
Perhaps Gertrude the Cow would be a better fit.
If I only had mod points to give...

I mean, why should you have to give up your "identity" just because your ISP has decided to charge more for less?
More for less??? But I thought New AOL 9.0 was the fastest internet ever...

Thanks Slashdot..... thanks a lot. Now everyone is gonna know about this bug....
1 out of every 1 person dies. And of that number, 100% die within a year of their last birthday.
Yes, but what if I guess the right one on my first try?
Even an idiot can win at Russian Roulette.
