Hmm well I read it as you can still use the "third party" email systems as meaning all those companies listed, such as yahoo. You just need to access it via the isp's portal. Now its possible the writer of that release whipped it up in 5 minutes without proof reading it for clarity so you might have the right of it... but strangely I'm going to continue leaning towards /.'s interpretation until proven otherwise. Better to holler and shout and be wrong than stay silent and be proven right when your no longer able to access your email on the official site.

Sounds pretty straight forward to me. You wont be able to go to mail.yahoo.com, you'll have to go to allyourbasebelongtous.MyFairPoint.net to access your yahoo email.

The United States doesn't acknowledge renouncing your citizenship when you go through a foreign nations naturalization process that has renunciation as part of its oath. USA's naturalization oath also calls for giving up any other citizenship... but other countries ignore it just like we ignore theirs. The only way to lose your USA citizenship is to go to an embassy and formally renounce it or commit treason.

While you can technically have multiple citizenships. When your in USA controlled territory the only one that matters to them is the USA one, any other is irrelevant.

Whatever power options win out you'll be set to take advantage of. Just leave some space for whatever primary charging standard wins out, but in the mean time you can have him install ALL the current standard XXXv 20/30amp sockets.

Jammers are a bad idea, as one of the above posters said, yell at them to take it outside or go complain to the manager. Some folks need to be on call but would still like to go out and enjoy themselves on occasion. A few annoying loud mouths shouldn't ruin an entire subset of professions from going to the theater. Specially considering they are most likely not the ones causing the disturbances your complaining about.

I'm actually surprised so many people are for jamming these places on slashdot. I thought many of us were on call 24/7.

First of all, I didn't say that the girl's suicide should be treated as a murder.

My response to that person was based on the fact that *they* thought that person was responsible for murder. The girl was responsible for killing herself, the woman is responsible for harassing her / stalking / intimidating her. That was my point about people being responsible for their own actions, not the actions that someone else chooses to make.

Very nice intertwining of insults and attempted insight, I applaud you. It's good to see your so firmly on the moral high ground while I obviously am idiotic scum.

I never said she shouldn't be held accountable of some sort, but is she responsible for murder? No, I do not think she is. I'm also sorry that I don't see how everyone should be required to "offer support" to every individual they see. I'm not defending this woman, what she did is horrible. But I don't see why you think the girl who killed herself has *no responsibility* for her own choices. People come in all shapes and sizes. Some of them don't mesh well with the reality that has been forced upon them. In short, what happens to you may not be your choice, but how you *deal* with it is your choice. You may believe the world should coddle every soul that enters it but reality doesn't match that.

As for punishment ... I believe this woman should potentially be convicted of harassment / stalking / intimidating a minor. One of those has to be illegal. But I don't see her responsible for murder.

For the love of all that is, people need to learn to take some fucking responsibility for the their own actions!

Free market, to me, gives me the impression that I have a choice among many competitors. Unfortunately where I live this isn't true. DSL doesn't work and I have only one cable provider to choose from. If this happens to be one of the ones that decides net neutrality is evil then I'm screwed. So the government needs to force a standard. I guess to me, as a self described libertarian, I see the government as a sort of ISO standard body with military backing. Perhaps I'm off my rocker with that idea.

Back then Apple created their own hardware and their own software, pretty much from the ground up. And even when they started using standard components they used a higher grade of components like scsi when ide was the norm. Today they use standard low cost components virtually indistinguishable from Dell's, their OS is based on freebsd thats been modified and made pretty. Today's apple may still have the same spit an polish to their fanboi's as the old one but the inside is totally different.

Or are you going to commit suicide once you get your next promotion at work because "I finished Life!"?

Btw, I stopped playing wow over two years ago because my work schedule shifted out of sync with friends and family so the real fun part of the game died for me.
