It still isn't a PayPal rival. And is there any way to have payapl automatically transfer received money to my bank account? I just do it as soon as I can, and 99.99% of the time my paypal balance is $0.
I find it interesting how you switched from HVD to HDV part way through the post. I imagine many people will get the letters mixed up if it actually sees the light of day. I don't see it being widely distributed for movies for at least 10 years though, if it ever is. If it is used for Hollywood movies, you can be sure it will include as much DRM as the other HD disc formats. I don't recognize any major movie companies on the list of companies that are supporting the format. HVD might catch on for data backup though.
How much is Microsoft paying you? I've never used Vista, but Aero using only a couple of MB of RAM? You have to be kidding. From what I understand, there's a seperate process in Vista that handles all of the Aero stuff, which takes up about as much memory as explorer. Most computers today probably won't be able to run Aero anyhow.
It only says it will come bundles with Shockwave, not flash. Yet as I look at their site now, the Flash download page includes an option for the Yahoo toolbar, while the Shockwave download does not. I'm not sure if it asks you to download it later along, though. Please, news writers, do some reasearch about what you're talking about. The Flash and Shockwave players are two different things. The later, last time I checked, not available on Linux, and likely never will be.
Forced chapters, are they still doing that? I already bought the movie, I don't want to sit through ads. Is there a site that lists all the DVDs with the unskippable ads?
I'm just curious, how old are you?
Also, how many students have an unreasonable hate of a teacher just because they don't do well in a certain class?
The world isn't like the Kids Next Door.;)
What kind of Playstation 1 were they using? The original PSX, or the newer, smaller PSOne? I assume different designs take different ammounts of power. The PS2 also has a slim version, but I'm assuming they're using an older model because they mention the switch on the back.
But you can't burn the songs to a CD. And a vast majority of portable music players can't play those files. I'm guessing that even a majority of non-iPods can't play those files.
I know you're wrong about Rhapsody, as I see buttons to buy the songs when using a free account.
And I'm quite sure you can sign up for a "free account" that only allows you to buy songs with Napster. I uninstalled the program, so I can't check for sure, but I remember such an option. Also, see this.
...that doesn't let you buy the songs.
"Most iTunes rivals charge monthly fees to access a catalog of entertainment, but some allow consumers to buy individual songs for about $1 each."
There is eMusic, but you get to keep those songs. People complain about not owning their music, yet these stores only offer the subscription service in addition to the buy a track for $1 service.
Plus, someone who doesn't like you can put up a page claiming to be you and destroying your reputation. They could even modify some photos. The whole thing seems like a bad idea.
I'm going to install Windows 98 on a new virtual PC soon. Windows 98 is good for running old games and such that don't work right on XP. Of course, I wouldn't use it as my primary OS.
It does work well on older hardware. There are some people who can't afford to buy a new computer. What should they do? OK, I might recommend Damn Small Linux or something, but they probably have applications and games that won't run on Linux.

I meant they're using MPEG4 now on the Blu-Ray and HD-DVD discs.
DVD's have a standard format. You can't just change the encoding format anytime you want. And they are using MPEG4 now.

If the server was unlinked from the rest of the network, you could probably tell by the lack of people.

Whoops, I guess it was being blocked by the popup blocker when I tried to switch it to "fullscreen" mode. Never mind.
Those videos don't seem to go into fullscreen mode.
The MSN search team probably uses it. However, most workers aren't on the MSN search team.

Daily views? Hourly views? Hourly views added up but weighted less the further back they go?
Don't people still do that? Zelda, Halo 3, etc.
To me, it seems like something they would want people to know about. "See, these security measures are necessary. Stop complaining."
Does Opera support Windows 98?

Microsoft didn't buy them. Apple won't buy them either.
http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/ Perhaps Windows 9x users will have to start using that? Ir runs faster and uses less memory.
It was changed. Interesting.
