Because I suppose the cellphone infrastructure is the same in Africa as it is in Asia, right? People in different parts of the world live differently than you do. Anyway, I assume the $100 laptops will have some sort of office suite installed, right?
How about getting rare DVDs that the store doesn't stock? It would need to be at a discounted price. It might be nice if they sold high quality DivX files of TV episodes burned onto DVD for cheap. Of course, they would never do that
You have to mention Koji Kondo when it comes to video game music. By the way, is Koji Kondo working on the music for Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Is Nobuo Uematsu doing more music for the game, or just the title track? I'm hoping the game's music is awesome. Fully orchestrated, and with a Latin chorus.
First, it's IE/WiMP10 only. It doesn't allow upload, so it doesn't really belong. I'm guessing almost all of those hits are from people watching video from MSNBC.com. I'd imagine CNN would have more video views than MSNBC though.
These are flash files streaming.flv video though. Can you use mplayer to download those? The thing about Google is that it lets you download the higher quality AVI or whatever format it is.
I'm guessing USB keyboards and mice will be supported while running Linux, but not for controlling actual PS3 games. Or maybe the decision will be left to the developer. Who knows?
That is the ultimate edition. I wonder how much space other editions will take up? And I don't suppose the installer lets you choose which components you want to install?
Also, are Windows Server versions usable as desktop operating systems?
It's called a "hypervisor". It won't be shipped with Vista. The articles I've looked at say it will be shipped after Longhorn Server. So I'm not sure if it will even work with the consumer versions of Vista.
What in the world are you talking about? Log in, click profile, click close account, follow the instructions. I just closed one. (Although, I thought I closed it a while ago. I guess not. It's gone now though.)
It would be nice if Google had a service where you could send small ammounts of money as well. Say, a quarter or 75 cents or something. I've tried to transfer that much to someone through paypal because they needed just a little bit more to pay for an auction. Of course, they took enough of it so that the recipient didn't receive enough.
It's also missing wifi and memory card support, although those are less important. I'd say the $500 version isn't that bad as well. Especially for people without HDTVs. It's not like the $300 Xbox 360, which is severely hurt by missing a hard drive.
Wouldn't it mess with some offline games as well then? I believe it's required that games reserve some power for the in-game dashboard thing. I'd imagine that's what does the downloading. Also, it can only do one download at once, they're just queued.
There were 298,647 matches played in the last 24 hours. There are 69,159 people online now. How much would running servers for everyone cost? And what do you mean by using servers to connect the clients?
Does anyone know how much cheating there was in Halo 1? Since the network code in that game was designed for LAN play, I believe it is less susceptible to cheating. I do know it ends the game if one person is using a modified map while another is using a regular one. Halo 2 tries to minimize the impact of lag, which is why it sends the positions of things rather than move forward and move backward commands.
Are you sure it was him and not someone with the same name? I have a relatively uncommon last name, but I know there's at least one person with the same name as me who lives in the same general area.
What if someone didn't like a particular student, created a blog claiming to be them, and posted illegal or inappropriate material? The same thing goes for employers checking out potential employees. There's no way to verify people are who they say they are on these sites.
Of course there was no reason to switch from 98 to ME (as ME performed worse). But, isn't XP quite a bit better than 98? Like being more stable?
I do agree that I don't see much of a reason to switch to Vista from XP. Vista makes it easier to run as non-admin. That seems to be it's biggest non-eye candy improvement. I'm wondering if you can not install all the bloat. I don't want it if it needs to use over 4GB just for the OS.

It's an idiom, at least in US English. It means also.
But what about the people who haven't heard the name yet? Like, say, parents who will be buying one for their kids.

Just curious, where is the link to the printer friendly version on the main article page? I can't find it.
Do you have a link to said "funniest...Photoshop parodies ever"?

Nope. %WinDir%\system32\PROGMAN.EXE Apparently, they broke it in XP SP2 though. I hear it was working in earlier versions of XP.
Plus, many of the Xboxes came with Thompson DVD drives, which are horrible and have stopped working right.
I do. I never saw a reason not to. And using a network share would be just silly on a laptop. And even for a desktop, what's wrong with it?
There are Fry's stores in Japan?

Yippee....

I want to know if the PS3 will still run Linux.
