If you're watching BBC programmes in the UK then there is no such legal circumvention. The law is very comprehensive in that area and has covered computer viewing for years.
You're wrong. The TV licence covers the receiving and recording of broadcasts as they are being broadcast. I've got the documentation on my lap right now. The website clarifies this here. This does not cover the shows that are available for viewing on BBC sites such as BBC Two's Watch Now. (IANAL though)
Google has confirmed that it can provide search terms if given an Internet address or Web cookie, but has steadfastly refused to say how often such requests arrive. (Microsoft, on the other hand, told us that it has never received such queries for MSN Search, and AOL says it could not provide the information if asked.)
I got a reminder from the TV licence people the other day, so I called up and asked for a direct debit form be sent to me. On reflection, I've decided I'm not going to pay for it. I've moved my TV to the opposite side of the room away from the aerial point (which got barely any reception anyhow) and am quite prepared for an inspector to come round like they threaten. I use my TV for video out from my PC only now.
They can fuck off if they think I'm paying £130 a year just because I own a television. I have a moral objection to the BBC anyway. Their news site is top notch though, plenty of coverage of my home town of Ipswich lately!
I recently got a Samsung E900 phone. One of the things that annoys me most about it is that it has just one port. For everything. I can't charge my phone while taking the photos etc off it. If they could address that, then it sounds like a good idea.
A cunt you say? Whatever you say about him, he's donated more to charity than you and your children will ever earn combined! I think you're the cunt here.
Think of her children on the playground, "Your mommy is a slut!" or "You're a bastard!"
Can work to your advantage too though. My parents were never married, so by rights I'm a bastard. I regard it as my birthright to be the best damn bastard I can be!
We will eventually (on the 100 year+) horizon get to the point where all human activity is meticulously logged and trackable.
We're already pretty close! Your financials are logged, your international movements are logged, your phone calls, and there's CCTV. Facial recognition software, you name it. We're getting there. And maybe our grandchildren will have a government even more advanced, perhaps implanting chips like those pet tracker ones, as we are born.
I sure hope our ancestors care about this information as much as our governments do!
The biggest improvement I got in shaving was when I stopped using shaving cream (while using Mach 3), rather than getting a razor with more blades.
The best thing I've found for shaving is to get a small bottle of olive oil, and mix in a some tea-tree oil. Probably best if you shave in, or during your shower. It's a close shave, it's natural, the tea-tree oil is good for your skin and you don't get foam up your nose.
I did need a new razor recently, so I went for the 5/6 bladed Gillette Fusion as it was on offer. That, with its odd vibrate feature, and my olive oil mix does make for a very pleasant shave in the morning.
Yeah nice one. Now you're just spewing greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere.
I googled for "coal powered laptop", just out of benign curiosity though, and I found a laptop powered by a jet engine. No coal powered laptops though, shenanigans!
- Barebones, browser only, users must install their own extensions. Most geeks will want this one.
- Some common and supported extensions preinstalled to support features included in competing browsers. Most people will want this one.
My work PC has been hit by trojans twice within a couple of weeks. I'm new there, so it looks bad anyway. Also, I'm as competent as most/. users, so I was shocked I got virused twice because I'm careful, especially at work. I'm an accountant so I don't have a say in the IT nor do I care to. My boss had to bring in external guys to fix the first virus, then the second one happened and he decided to reinstall everything anyway. Cost time and money.

I was kinda hoping for a +5 Insightful or +5 Informative. I'll just take the funny and leave it.
No, they'll just give it all away anyway.

I had to hover over that link, just to make sure it wasn't a myspace profile.

Maybe. Because unfortunately, somethingawful.com was taken.

I like how the big foot is crushing the iPod at the top of the page. It made me laugh.
Their new video is awesome. So much time must have gone into creating the videos, they deserve a bit of coin for their efforts.
Porn.
The link to the Firefox download page could have been included. I had to find it myself.

Haven't you heard the rule that it can't be web 2.0 unless it is in 'beta'?
Geeks are people too =(
