They couldn't afford it, so they used pirated copies. The agreed to pay $1 for the 50,000 copies they have now, and agree to pay licensing for future upgrade.
If they couldn't afford it now, how will they affor it in the future?
And, what's to say, I can't afford Windows, so, can I pay $1? They got to, why can't I?
It's about the quality of the games, not so much the quantity. They have been steady, and I have been a fanboy since '87 when I got my first NES. They produce great quality games, even though it may be Mario as the main character.
Joureny to parents' house... do you get the, "Oh, while you are here, can you look at my comput..." I know we all know that line... USB thumbdrive with all tools...
Aparently, no one read this article... the Xbox1 runs an OS derived from Win2000... they have absolutly NO IDEA what it will be for 360; only speculation to a port of Longhorn.
I think Xbox struggled because they didn't have a foot in the door yet for livingroom console games. When the price was dropped, people started to try it out.
CNN isn't free. Last time I checked, I needed to have a cable box or satellite receiver in order to view CNN; both which require a subscription (normally CNN is a part of basic cable or the basic satellite lineup). CNN isn't free over the airways like US networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, etc)
Or, what about RIPping it to a ROM? I know there are some emulators in the works, but I do see that as happening. Demo Kiosks in stores and malls, new games "exclusive" to one store soon to be downloaded. I for one am glad they went with wireless, and I can't wait for the official wireless from the big N in November.
How do they know if you know someone in real life in order to play with them? And, why is it a problem if you play with "strangers?" I like the way Nintendo is FINALLY going with online connectivity. I had X-Band back in the day with a 28.8 modem, played people all over with Killer Instinct on SNES.
Very interesting... and you can see GUIs stem off to those such as on Console gaming machines, Palm Pilots, Cell Phones, even Home Theater receivers and DVD players. Well done, nice read (well, I skimmed through it).
Usually the top has the USB logo, but if I go to plug it in and it doesn't go in, I turn it upside down. This all happens in a matter of 5 seconds or less. Not too complicated.

I assume they weren't using *nix? =)

"Film and television executives no doubt wish the increasingly popular BitTorrent peer-to-peer file-sharing system never saw the light of day."
Instead of hate it and wish it gone, why not work towards this new technology with hopes to use it with fewer worries?
How about GIMP plugins, Open Source DNA manipulation?
And you know who makes out? IBM, they are the core processor for all 3 nextGen consoles. Good for them...
I pay $25 a month unlimited, and I paid the $35 for Newsleecher yearly subscription. Works well for me =)
Sometimes TV shows are Torrented before they are on Usenet. Also, some shows I get torrents of never make it to Usenet.
Will it install Malware, adware, nagware like Kazaa? I still stick with Unet groups.
Excuse me?

The article makes parents think you have to get HDTV. You can play all platforms on a Standard Def TV. I think it is poor choice or price display.
Comment was Modded Informative, THAT'S FREAKING HALARIOUS!!! Man, if it were true, er, um, I mean... yes, that is interesting and informative...

I understand what that number represents. Apparently, you have no sense of humor.
...reports that it will cost employers $628,880,000 in lost productivity on the first two days...
Or, as I read it, "George Lucas will be $628,880,000 richer in the first two days..."
Linux keeps on running. I just installed it on my microwave!
Meant to be funny... not trolling.
And, I bet this site will be more ads then content... just like the old mag. It's hard to read real magazines, there's no Ad-Block for paper mags.

What is the smallest size before it is not concidered to be a moon?
