...really isn't a problem, especially if you're targetting you're average desktop user (excluding gamers, as ever). Word can be replaced with Open office writer with few problems, how many people use word because it has mail merge which you can link to an access database or because it has spellcheck?
The real problem is hardware thats not compatable out the box, most people will give up. I've run Mandrake for 2 months no problems (However took a year to get hardware sorted) until a couple weeks back when the computer moved upstairs and I added a wifi card. Its either Windows with its problems (not saying Linux is perfect, merely Linux's short comings don't affect my use of the computer) and net access, or Linux and no internet.
Untill hardware is supportted (And by no means is the *nix developers fault), it'll fail to get a foot hold.
And no, I'm not Linux savvy, I just know UT2004 gets more frames per sec in mandrake (Mandriva, silly, silly name) than XP2 and looks just as good to me, and firefox seems a little more responsive, not to mention CGI scripts/php in apache worked better than apache in windows. And thats what matters to me.
Also known as "How to create a bias piece of film" That one with the plasma pistol was fantastic, 0.3 kill, yeah, if you're opponent is in the air, you have you're pistol charged, you can fire before the touch down, and its just you 2 and no other people shooting.
Almost as good as the plasma/HE pistol, try than in a 4 a side fire fight. Best off with 2 people with dual plasma pistols and a couple with smg's and battle rifles to finish them off, being plasma does more damage VS shields than bullets, and Bullets more Vs health.

If its for you're router, why not, what are they going to do? Block port 80? Just use the reset button on the back and spend a while reseting it.
If its for a big company server you're going to want to keep it in a vault or something if you *must* write it down. But then again, you coul keep an old laptop full of passwords in a vault.

So what have they lost? I know what I've lost, atleast £30, I have the orginals on VHS, they cost me £30, now I'll have to shell out more for the new remastered DVD's, no exchange scheme, nothing.

...I went to an open day at the University of Central Lancashire (Begin the slagging off), last saturday were they has a full demonstration of this, it was pretty good, using 3 rear projexted screens to make a 3d hallway, you could view it using special glasses, they then brought out a head set that changed the orientation. It was pretty good. They are even starting 3 courses this year based around digital images and imersion.
