Seriously, if you ask M$ if there open enough they'll say yes, if you ask them if there software is the best, they'll say yes, if you ask them if Linux is some unrealistic thing done by weird people who live under bridges they'll say yes.

M$, for some people, will never be open enough, but has this affected integration with M$ and Open source programs, if anything I've noticed Open Office is better at back compatibility with old word documents than Word itself.

And As for "They'll never be truely be open until they open source windows". Why should they? Sure some people think all software should be free, but some people like to be rewarded in megabucks for there software, and if its worth it sure. This is, of course, ignoring that windows is not worth its current price even if it isn't worthless.

Should really read some of the stuff they have on the Guild Wars site. For one, having friendly warriors hack each other to pieces in training isn't all that bad, as they can be resurected afterwards (As a character is in the story at guildwars.com).

If you didn't pick a secondary in Pre Charr ascalon, you can still choose in Post Charr ascalon.

And lastly the game isn't in direct competion with any other MMORPG's, largely because its a CORPG (Competitive Online Role-Playing Game), think Magic: The Gathering, - cards + more people - other silly stuff.

and on top of that, no monthly fees, woohoo.

Er, thank you "Anonymous Coward" for you're insight, I, myself, do infact own a legal copy of windows, I also *Gosh* have a licensed version of PhotoShop, albiet an older version I got free with a magazine.

The one thing that does bug me though is how you say free/open source is bad, stolen intellectual property, can you name any companies that went out of buisness because of IP theft by open source?. I can't. And patents, they don't bother me in the UK (And no thanks the EU, hopefully never will).

"free software is not free and not very good." what? Blue paint is not blue paint and is not very good. No, that makes little sense, i have a version of Mandrake, Community 10.2, some of slackware, knoppix ect. that didn't cost me anything, except a blank DVD/cd or few, seems free, and from my point of view (The only one that matters really) they are mostly better than my LICENSED windows, the only reason I persistantly keep using windows is because I just can't get my 9600xt to work, which is ATI's crappy driver support, fully under Linux.
