It only works on Linux and other Unix-like systems. It does not work on Windows or the Mac (it is in fink, but audio out doesn't work making it quite useless).
Hopefully it will one day work everywhere, since it is an awesome player. IMHO, amaroK could easily take over if it worked on more platforms.
Instead, they should pull out an Ibanez 14-string and play Blind (KoRn), as that's what those ads all over Yahoo! Mail make me... (thank you so much for "fetchyahoo")
Keri's strangest job was dressing up as a human eyeball to promote Specsavers. Other unusual achievements include being able to put her fist in her mouth.
I would never buy electronics or anything expensive there, but Best Lie is a pretty good store for music and movies. At least around here they have the best selection and decent prices. Only Circuit City is lower, but their selection is rather poor.
I'd also like to know which trojan this is, since if that's the cause it also exists on Linux, FreeBSD, and OS X... (I too get spam results in many google searches)
Windows freezes are caused by hardware 95% of the time, from my experience. It really isn't buggy at all.
Then why, on the same machine, Linux or FreeBSD run very stable?
And OS X ain't such a champ, either. I have to restart Finder like 3 times a day because it's constantly crashing or freezing.
Hmm. I've been using a Mac (PowerBook) for a few months and have less issues with it than Linux. It's never locked up or had any problem like you describe. The only times it gets restarted is after applying a security update.
Most of the stations around here are Clear Channel, including both of the rock stations. Both rock stations have similar playlists, half the time you can flip between them and hear the same song. To top it off, it's usually the same couple of songs all day long. This is why I stopped listening to the radio.
When I'm in my car, I listen to CDs. When I'm near a computer, I'm listen to either ChroniX or The EDGE. Both play varieies of bands, and are commercial free.
Yes, it's so much easier to try and understand the license when every singe application and library has it's own license such as on Windows. Who in their right mind would think a choice between ten or so licenses that are clearly explained here and here is easier to understand?
If they would fix their fucking rpm, I'd agree with you. For a geek it's not that hard, but a n00b's eyes will glaze over when you try to explain this:
Download the RPM to your desktop
Open a terminal and type in cd Desktop/
Type in sh jre*.bin and accept the agreement by pressing "q" and then "y"
Type in sudo rpm -hiv jre*.rpm and type in your password
Type ls/usr/java/* and make a note of the directory name
Type in sudo nano/etc/profile.d/java.sh and in this file type:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/<dir_name>
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/<dir_name>/bin
Make sure to replace <dir_name> with the directory identified in step #5.
Type in sudo chmod 755/etc/profile.d/java.sh
Type in cd/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
Type in sudo ln -s/usr/java/>dir_name</plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin _oji.so.
Close the terminal and remove the two jre* files from your desktop.
Really now. The damn rpm should set it's path, and it just install it's plugin. Every other rpm I download does this, just not this broken one.
At the very least, they should allow distributions to package it. At least they should now how to do it correctly. SUSE has a correct Java RPM, why the hell can't the makers of Java create something other than a half-assed one? They should also create a AutoPackage.
A user should not have to go to a terminal, especially for something as simple as an install. If you do not think this is the case, try OS X for a week or two. Under that you only use a terminal if you want to, you don't need to. This is one if the reasons I like AutoPackage. The packages actually work propery, have a GUI install, and offer the option of installing in your home directory.
You should tell him about Netscape 8. It uses the Mozilla engine but can be configured to use the IE engine for certain sites. I use that for a few of the apps at my college that require IE.
How did you uninstall it in the first place? The only way I know it to use something like Revenge of Mozilla or 98lite, but those only work with 98. With XP and 2k, it seems the best you can do is hide it.

Basically, if it's R for violence it's fine. But if there's a tit, that will "corrupt the children". When I was a teen (I'm 23, btw) I saw R-Rated violent movies all the time without getting carded, even when I was 15. Movies rated R for anything slightly sexual get carded. Hell, I got carded last summber by cops when I went to se Team America. There were two at the door. That was at the 11 pm show, though, at the 2 and 5 pm shows they just carded while taking the tickets (Yes, I saw it three times on opening day...).
I like other stuff, Queensrych is one of my favorites. I like some Iron Maden, and some Judas Priest, though I don't like the vocals (Geoff Tate kicks ass, though).
Also, I don't hate black people. In fact three of my favorite musicians are black, Jimi Hendrix, Wes Montgomery, and B.B. King. Yes, I like blues and jazz. I just don't like modern rap, though some of the old stuff is pretty good (De La Soul, for example).
BTW, why was my post marked as flamebait? Really, if you want to scare old people blast out some Cannibal Corpse or Six Feet Under. Marilyn Manson also works quite well.
Also, if you think screaming is easy, try doing a few songs. It takes training to do it properly, for me it's harder to do than singing.
Yes, that is right. Listen to some Opeth, Children of Bodom, Trivium, Lamb of God, or Killswitch Engage. It takes many years to reach those levels of playing, rhythmic talking (rap) doesn't.

That's what work gets every single day...

Every cancer patient has consumed a dangerous chemical known as "dihydrogen monoxide". Hihydrogen Monoxide needs to be banned!

Sounds like my kind of girl!
Especially if the kona is aged to just 18 years (or whatever the AoC is)...

Don't forget about these gems:
Canada and Denmark at the Brink of War
Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz are Vampires, W Ketchup Contains Blood
Fed up with Huricanes, Miami Dolphins Moving to Wichita

Umm, wouldn't it be easier to just use cruise control?
Cardinal Glick: "Fill them pews, people, that's the key. Grab the little ones as well. Hook 'em while they're young."
Rufus: "Kind of like the tobacco industry?"
Cardinal Glick: "Oh, if only we had their numbers."
I wonder where they innovated that from?.

as long as anywhere is Windows/Linux/Solaris x86 or Solaris SPARC
Don't forget about Macs. The OS X Java is very nice, especially since Apple it. The few Java apps I use (Eclipse, Azerues, LimeWire, and Jedit) seem to work (and also look&feel) the best.

Violence = Fine
Tits = Evil
That's pretty fucked up, if you ask me.
Sandy Sue: Give me an 'H'. Give me a 'U'. Give me a - giant pussy-licking, ass-fucker cock shit.
[the other cheerleaders are disturbed]
Sandy Sue: I'm sorry. That was my Tourette's.
Not Another Teen Movie
Forgot to mention, my band used to cover "Fuck The Police" by NWA and a few Rage songs. I can rap, it's easy compaired to singing or screaming.
