i havnt tried the new bookmarking system but i havnt found anything wrong with the current one:o. I'd prefer that they spend more time working on making firefox run faster and use less memory (would be nice for my xdmcp workstation anyways)
All the people that i know who play halo 2, do so on their consoles and not PC's. In fact most dont even have a PC, which is the reason they got the console in the first place. And if the Halo 2 PC version is anywhere near as bad as the Halo PC version it probably wont get very many sales.
close enough. its not like i'm the one going out to parking lots to beat up larpers lol. although it would be fun assuming theres even people who play games where i live
its ironic that about 20 days ago i told a person who was a staff member on a irc network i've since left that there are people playing games competitively that make six figure salaries. he kicked me from #staff, this guy was suppost to be mature... seemed more fundamentalist than anything
this is actually a quite popular thing in the world. The owner of the professional counter-strike team "Complexity" said it right though when he said that games like counter-strike will not appeal to older generations. I'd assume that many members of/. fall into that category. But this is becoming increasingly popular among newer generations, including myself. For all we know in the next 20-60 years evolutions of counter-strike and starcraft will replace traditional sports such as Football and Baseball. Although i doubt that they will, they may definately become more popular. A testiment to this would be the fact that each year the tournaments such as WCG, CPL, ESWC etc. have had larger and larger numbers of spectators. Its only the beginning.
heh ironic. i've been using freebsd for my network gateway for about 4 months. I didnt think about the gaming implications. But i definately havn't noticed any lag while downloading two large files and playing Counter-Strike. However the average counter-strike (or gaming in general) players are idiots so setting up freebsd will be damn near impossible for them:). I can just see the "Wheres the start menu at" questions:)
