I am curious, how did they "get to her bank account"? A lot of my international friends have this scare of people getting to know their bank account number and I can't understand why. Is it really that easy to pull money from an account that *belong to another person*? Over here I need a valid ID or a PIN-secured cryptographic device (that look like a simple pocket calculator) just to move money between my own accounts. Is bank security really that terrible?
Just because there is a software installed that provide root access from the outside it does not automaticly mean that your privileges for the root-account is revoked.
virtually everyone who calls themself a 'capitalist' isn't. to be a capitalist, you must live off the revenue generated by capital you control. i suspect stronlgy that dada21 and others like him actually live by trading their labour to people who are, in fact capitalists.
I disagree. I do not have enough capital in terms of monetary assets and equity to generate enough income to live off, but I am a capitalist. I live off "trading labor" as you call it, but since my person is something I own (hence, I am my own capital), then I am, in a sense, living off capital, as is everyone who has a job and doesn't rely on social assistance.
Thats a interesting way to make yourself feel better - but the fact remain: it is incorrect. If you want to use a widely used term as "capitalist" and get away with it, use it as it is traditionally defined.
You are a capitalist if you live on the accumulated profits from your capital.
If you live on selling your labour to other, you are a "worker".
It's Economics 101. Both Adams and Marx agree on this.
Walk up to George Soros and call yourself "capitalist" and you will be laughed in the face. You might be a well educated white-color worker, but you are still a filthy worker who only got one function: create profit for the man who is writing your paycheck.
IBM made counting machines, which the Nazis chose to purchase. IBM didn't make machines specifically (and knowingly) to commit genocide
No, Nazi-germany bought machines to identify and track prisoners. These were designed by IBM specifically for that purpose. This is nowdays something that IBM doesn't deny - their only defense is that the USA was not in war with Germany at the time.
Check out the book IBM and the Holocaust or the the award winning documentary The Corporation.

if you haven't noticed - you can get pgup/pgdown functionality by pressing fn + up/down:)
but yeah, it's really a shame that the big "17 doesn't have a extended keyboard.
Yes, its from the original SMB, not the crappy sequel 'Sumper Mario Brothers 2' that according to rumors wasn't even created by nintendo (rumor has it that they just bought some game, changed the graphics and released it in Europe and USA as SMB2).
So it's all good then:) Cool work.
Well, all of Apples (and all the other usb keyboards i've seen) for mac got a usb hub built in to them. You plug the keyboards usb cable into the computer, and plug your mouse into one of the two ports on the keyboard. Voila - even tho you got both mouse and keyboard hooked up, you still got two ports free:)
And if you are a ereet d00d you are using bluetooth, so you got both of the ports on the box available anywas;)
The Pirate Bay can't be shut down with a support of DMCA - the servers is located in Sweden. Sweden is not a state in the USA (and trackers are perfectly legal there, as in the most of the countries around the world...)
Indeed, but how many people will BUY the game - and not donate money in one form or another for it.
RMS could sell emacs because there wasn't possible for everyone to get online and download it during the uber slow links that was set up over the world today.
Good or bad, today people can download *everything* for free (gratis, without paying) even if it's not allowed by the copyright owner - things are indeed diffrent.
Actually, it is PiratBYRÅN.

If one of the few members of the Security Council (like tha USA) block a proposal with a veto, the rest of the world can do jack shit.
All countries are equal, but some countries are more equal than others
Uhm. No. There is already busses on Hawaii called that.
Other than that: it was a cool idea, but it would never work in reality.
Not only are you using no-existant instructions, you also forgot to declare the line numbers.

Pine is "open source". It just isn't FREE SOFTWARE. http://www.washington.edu/pine/overview/legal.html
Stop it. You just gave them a really good reason to probe *all* parts of your body :(
I always play loud music and often misspell stuff since I'm drunk all of the time.
Oh, do you only have 90 days of warranty over there? Here in sweden we got 2 years for consumers, 1 years of companies.
:D
Doubleplusgood that you were able to talk Apple into sending you a new one even tho it obviously wasn't their fault that it didn't work

Does anyone know if these fingerprint thingies got any standardised protocol for verifiying data - or does all vendors have their own system?
