Except that mob rule is generally bad, especially in regards to free speech and free press issues. Whether we like it or not, the majority of people are easily swayed by simple emotional pressure, and if the man at the front of the church says that something is bad, they'll file out and follow through, without realizing the manipulation. It's the sad truth, but there aren't many ministers bringing up 1 Peter 4:15:
"But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters."
Well, unless the guy was playing GTA:Stalingrad, I don't see how you can take an old man who likely went through WW2 and actually had violence around him is an example of mankind being only one step above total beasts. While we may well be not far removed from our savage roots, it would make more sense to express our roots on 3d animations, rather than other human beings.
If it's really that bad, couldn't the EU put an injunction on MS and force them to stop selling their products in the EU. Yeah, it's not ideal, but it would hurt MS enough to stop dragging their feet, especially if people got sick of waiting and started to move to Linux.
Isn't that the fallacy of the broken window?
I mean, sure, the economy looks good when we bomb other countries, but overall it's a waste of resources for the planet, and if humanity could ever get over war, it would lead to far less waste.
Wha?
The word "gravity" by itself isn't a force. It's a concept. The "force of gravity" is the force felt by two objects pulling on eachother, which you could calculate using (G(m1)(m2))/(r^2). Since we can calculate the mass of the black holes based on the speed of the dust orbiting a particular distance from the center, we could find the real force that the black holes exert on the earth (which, yes, would be small, since the objects are so far away).
The problem, though, is that since the black holes are merging, it's going into crazy Einsteinian physics. Two rips in spacetime are coming together, with unknown consequences, one of which could be noticible (to instruments, probably not to the man on the street) gravitational effects which could show the true nature of gravity.
What judicial atheocracy? The kind that supports seperation of church and state? The kind that says "Do what you will in your own mind, but don't expect the government to support you"? What? Sure, there may be a few whackjobs who manage to go too far, but I've yet to see any case that actually oppresses Christians. Why is there some desire to prove that Christians are somehow "oppressed" in America? We live in a country where Christians control the House, the Senate, the Presidency, the Supreme Court, and all governorships (except maybe Nebraska's governor, who hasn't stated a religion). How could you get any more friendly to the Christian faith without being overtly preferential?
(Taiia's divine level 20, while Moradin and Corellon go up to 19 - and yes, they actually assigned levels to deities; perhaps they should had just made it into a prestige class ?-).
It's divine rank, and it's that way because most deities already have 30-50 regular levels. Besides, it would probably confuse people, since some things ("hero-deities", think Hercules) have a divine rank of 0 (which is not the same thing as having no divine rank), and how do you take 0 levels in a class?
The point was the absurdity of teaching kids to doubt evolution since they haven't personally witnessed it, yet on the other hand telling them to believe in God.
And I've yet to see a creationist who didn't twist half-facts and full lies (even if they aren't their own). Every time they trumpet some point in history where someone faked a fossil or made something up, they ignore that it was scientists who figured it out, not creationists. Do the leaders of the creationist movement know more? Maybe. Do they really believe all the crap they spew? Sometimes it's hard to tell, given the sheer audacity.
And while you're right that atheists don't look at theology with the method of faith, that's hardly relevent to what atheists are trying to point out. Atheists who try to show the Bible wrong don't need faith to show glaring contradictions. If you want to get into the realm of simply "There is a god", then you may have something, but by that point the deity is pretty much non-effective as far as human events is concerned.
Perhaps you should read up on the incorporation doctrine. The Bill of Rights applies to any governmental authority, as they are fundamental rights. You know, due process and all that mumbo-jumbo that should protect us (if it weren't for the monopoly on political power at this moment by the right, who at this point seems hell bent on stripping away rights:( ).
Presumably you'd be keeping detailed records of some sort which could be used to show that you were working on X as of date Y. It shouldn't be the only thing you have, but you could build a case of a well managed inventor's notebook.

Well gee, considering that XP won't come standard on any prebuilt computer, the average Joe will have it be default.
It's like Internet Explorer, just because it has more market share, it doesn't make it better, it's just the default for Joe User.
Are you this man?

The individuals with particular mutations within the species, which I figured would be fairly obvious. I shortened it a bit to get the point across.
What about plants? >_>
Yes, if people don't see harmless activities as being bad, they won't go to church out of shame and fear of hell. The horror!
Evolution is the aggrigate of mutations that manage to survive through generations.

You're forgetting, it's "Gorgeous nerd". It's relative at that point.
You forgot two parts:
5.???
6.Profit!
It might even be the equivaltent of driving 400,000 miles on those tires too!
Of course it'll be a bright future if they crash and burn.
Too bad copyright infringement is almost always a civil matter, and thus can't result in prison time.

Microsoft is so used to being the only player in town that any two groups working together looks like collusion to them.
Or you could get the game America's Army for free, directly from Uncle Sam.

Of course they don't have a monopoly on music distribution, look at all the people who use Limewire!
