Even so... it will be shot down by alarmists and the news media (likely bought and paid for by the oil industry).
Look at how Fission has lowered the price of electricity.
This isn't that surprising, large cooperations contract smaller companies to do work under there name all the time.
That said, I do find these kind of "How stuff gets made" and "Who makes that?" articles fascinating, thanks for the link.
I agree with most of what you have said but there is one thing that stands out
The Xbox 360 is likely to have more games at any given instant than the Playstation 3
I don't know if that will be the case by default... remember a bulk of the original Xbox games where multi platform titles (the same is true of the 360 so far... also many games where released first on the Xbox as "exclusive" and then later on the PS2 (some even having the better designed port on the PS2)). Developers will continue, I think, to hedge there bets and multiplatform there games.
Anyway... the exclusives are what make a system anymore and for me that means following Konami around like the MGS fan I am(I may manage to wait for substance this time around though).
That is my question... what method of production do they intend to use to make all this fuelb and how do they intend to get it to the cell phone users?
Thank you for adding your thoughts.
While I agree there is a point where the expectation of privacy is prempted by the governments obligation to protect us, I think at the very least there should be meaningfull oversite of any "fine line" matter like this.
We are at a crossroads, and we need to take a step back from the emotion of September eleventh (nearly 5 years later) and really look at what we want to see in the future.
I won't stand on a soapbox here and force my opinion on others but I think it is time for a very serious debate over what is acceptable to give up in the name of security, what secrets we will let our government keep from us and what checks and balances need to be in place.
I think we are in trouble of letting "terrorism" be the ultimate excuse for any unpopular move by the government and it sadens me to see that the events of 2001 have changed us so much.
P.S. The latest Justifications I have heard for the NSA wire taping are indicative of the problem... saying "we havent had a terrorist atack because of this program" is like saying "the wolly mammoth repelant is working" unless you can show proof that attacks have been thwarted .
Email is just like IM chat when I am emailing or chating with a friend or coworker I know personaly I often think to myself "this doesn't sound like so and so". When it is someone I don't know personaly that wierdness is not there... because I have no baseline to compare to.
One thing I do find helps is adding headers and footers to the emails even if it is a quick "good morning So and so" or a "Thanks," before my auto signature(I am not in sales but the same principals used there can apply to many proffesonal settings). The only time I really don't look for things like that is when I know that the person is on a blackberry, and then being overly breif can be forgiven.
If you posted under AC to avoid potental negative modding that is a true shame... what you say is very true and competition is ultimatly what drives inovation.
I would rather see somone say "AMD will prove them wrong" than "that can't be true AMD is better".
I don't think it is doomed and for the record I am not a big Nintendo fanboy.
The only way I will buy a one game controller accesory is if it comes with the game for free and the game in question is actualy worth playing and I don't think I am alone on that one.
I am sure the Wii will be a huge sucess or at least a profitable console, but the question in my mind is will it be worth putting up with Nintendo's shenanagans to own one?
That is really my point. The "fanboys" will be happy and Nintendo will expand there market, I just don't see them inovating in the game department which is what really has me worried.
I don't think it will be as bad as selling the exact same game (Wave Race had no substantial new content) on a next-gen system (the download service should prevent that) but untill the games are on the shelves we won't know.
It will be cheap to produce, have enough power to run games slightly more advanced than the Gamecube, those games will include a number of rehashed titles and the controler design is going to lead to an endless stream of "optional" attachments (somtimes bundled) to even play a big chunk of the new titles.
I don't mean to sound negative but I don't see Nintendo changing it's stripes any time soon...
You know what? Wii (we) are all going to gobble it up this time just like the last two systems.
Even so... it will be shot down by alarmists and the news media (likely bought and paid for by the oil industry). Look at how Fission has lowered the price of electricity.
Or more accuratly it will be paid for by Europeans... they are years from fussion being able to service anyone.
Having said that this is a big step forward in making it a economical and safe way to produce power.
Well... What do you think they burn in these things? (kidding... put away the flamethrowers junior economists)

You just made a big chunk of the population criminals, let me know how that turns out.
Well to be fair I think it is the terrorism that caused us to start taking our Bill of Rights apart, so it seems we are playing into there hands here.

No.. but then again I am not a developer... ;)
The sad part is I can read some of it...
Likely because it isn't a joke about an unfortunatly named Nintendo console.
There is such a thing?
...Yeah.

Yeah... I noticed that just moments to late... I previewed and everything.
How many slashes would a slashdot dot if a slashdot could slash dots?
Sometimes you have to make time for the important stuff.
Um crap... now I have to buy a PS3.

So does anyone here use Gametap and if so what do you think of it?
Is it any better than a video store or a Netflix style model?
I have to admit I am curious but I am aprehensive of online content delivery subscription services.
Thanks for your insight.
They should return your 5 bucks or at the very least let you apply it as store credit twards the Wii version.
it all depends on the clerk but if you are nice and explain the situation they should help you out.
OK good one... I did not see the typo untill just now.
