It's not the bundles that are the problem. They just aren't including the right things respective to the native audience.
Throw in a couple pairs of used schoolgirl panties and some tentacle mangas and you'll have a hit.
Wow, how well you use stereotypes.
Good games was more what I was thinking the xbox360 needs in Japan!

PS3 To Run At 120 FPS?
·
· Score: 1
Supposedly, the human eye can only see ~30FPS. However, I can tell a distinct difference between 30FPS and 60FPS. Anything above 60FPS though, looks exactly the same as 60FPS.
Really? So does watching a movie at the theater bother you? Those are a horrifyingly low 24FPS.
Now I will town down the sarcasm since you probably can see a difference between 30 and 60 FPS. Why? Because those measurements are typically running averages and a 30FPS average can mean the game is dropping down to 10 or 15 FPS. That is definetly visible.
The middleware they all use probably isn't there yet. Once it is I think you will see more multi-threading.
All I know is that doing it on you own is very challenging and adds so much complexity (race conditions and locking to name a few) that it's probably not worth the effort. Really all these systems need for great graphics is a kick butt graphics card!
My cellphone doesn't have Windows Mobile; so the fact that "not all cellphones have Windows Mobile 5.0" was already known to me.
Actually I am talking about what M$ plans to do and I was disagreeing with you that M$ is not an important player. Even if you don't think being on 95% of all computers is important, they are moving into the cell arena; which, as you say, is important.
So, you need to cut back on the doses of Fly-Off-The-Handle-And-Start-Insulting-People Kool-Aid.
btw... I am not a M$ proponent, I was just disagreeing with you about their importance
Thank you for making my point. Cellphones = windows mobile 5.0
Think long term here. Microsoft wants to be on every desk and in every pocket, they have always pushed for simple data integration (not necesarrily done it right) and networking between computers (think things like remote desktop being integrated in Windows XP). When your cellphone gets fast enough you will get access to all you home data from everywhere, including music; and if you use M$ music service it will be that much simpler (think: integrated into the operating system).
"Why should the industry listen to Microsoft? They don't have a share of the portable player (ie: iPod) market. They basically want to push subscription services (which most people seem not to want).
Basically, the industry needs to deal with Apple, not Microsoft. Microsoft is not a player in the game anymore. Microsoft is a a Johnny Come Lately."
WOW, your wrong. M$ has a [large] presence on 95% of all computers. Imagine an integrated music subscription service as part of Windows. Instant market presence!
As long as it can tell that even though my middle finger is resting on the right portion (as most folk's fingers do when they mouse) the actual click came from the left portion!
The thing is people have a fixed music budget. This is why a lot of people download music. They buy it until their budget is reached, and then they download the rest.
This means that if music was cheaper (say $.25 or less) folks would by more music. This could only be a good thing for the music industry because more music would be purchased. That in itself woulnd't generate extra revenue, since the music is cheaper, BUT music listeners musical horizons would be expanded. This means more people going to more shows and a general increase in the level of interest in music.
Albums could almost be sold as a loss leader for getting people to come to shows because you can't "download" the experience of a live show!
Not for me. It's going to be at least 5 years before the intels get any kind of a foothold, and at least 8 before they get anywhere near the market share of the PPCs. 8 years for a $399 computer is a great buy.
What are you talking about? 5 years before Intel gets a foothold? Within a year *most* new Macs will be Intel based. Most folks upgrade every 3 years; so within 3 years you will see mostly Intel Macs.
I am not even sure what "8 years for a $399 computer is a great buy." even means. There aren't any $399 Macs that I know of.
WTF, how does my comment get modded down? Oh and on second thought it would probably be best if your kids watched niether porn nor "Natural Born Killers."
Imagine trying to drive East or West. I agree that it would be cool to do this, but you would pretty much have no idea what time it was most of the time. I am late everywhere so it doesn't matter to me, but some people might care.
The thing that amuses me the most about this whole episode is that senators and other publicity hounds never noticed the game when it was just violence, madness and mayhem
Yes, yes they did. Jack Thompson has been all over this game for quite a while. Rod Blagoviadkjcie... in Illinois has had his panties in a bunch because of this for a long time too.
Me, I would prefer my kid watch a porn flick any day rather than "Natural Born Killers"
Tough choice, but I think I would keep my kids off the porn.
A kid (clearly around 13) at EBGames in line in front of me tried to buy it (GTA:SA, long before Hot Coffee). The guy behind the desk asked for his ID. The kid said he didn't have one; the EB guy said that he couldn't buy the game. Simple as that! The kid walked away embarrassed, as he should be.
What this will thankfully do is free up some much needed frequency spectrum. Analog TV uses up a hell of a lot of prime frequency real estate which could be used more efficiently. Hopefully this will spurn new wireless standards with better coverage and capacity.
Dog, thank you so much! I have been searching for this article for months since I first saw it. I thought it was on slashdot too, but couldn't remeber the name of the article and couldn't find it anywhere on slashdot.
I keep hearing that next to Fermi Labs, there are now snakes with two heads and albino deer, all this stuff did not exists before they started their research.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... and the buffalo glow green at night.
As a former employee of said labs I will gladly refute the existence of anything like what you (or anyone else) have described (I have heard all kinds of wierd made-up stories).
The main superconducting ring is 60ft underground; and FermiLab's experiments don't revolce around radioactive materials!
They are affected because gravity is the warping of space. A black hole is a sign of very strongly curved space, therefore photons are affected by gravity.

Nintendo also came up with things like Robby the Robot, Virtual Boy, and the Power Glove.
For the love of everything good, Mattel made the friggin Power Glove. Not Nintendo.
[holds pinky up to mouth] 100 billion modulations!
History has shown that, more often than not, first to market=first to games=first to sales.
Tell that to Sega!
Totally agree on the rail gun. It could at least get rockets up to speed so all that precious fuel used at the beginning of the flight is saved.
Actually the loon was on CNN tonight. Spouting his non-factual drivel.
Your maturity level bogels the mind.

last time I checked, booze = alcohol

and it's massachusets (I don't like living here enough to capitilize it); we had what, one day of sun through all of April and May.
