    I'm sorry, but the word cracker is a perjorative for white people, and has been for at least a hundred years. If geeks want to differentiate among "good" and "bad" hackers, they (we) must come up with a better term.

    I don't know any geek who uses the word "cracker" to refer to bad hackers.

    Um, I think you're totally missing the point, which is that these "rural girls" do not use protection. They grow up in an environment that does not encourage the use of protection or contraceptives, so teenage pregnancy is common. His daughter is going to have a hard time remaining chaste and/or safe if all of her classmates get knocked up.

    Sooner or later, the original owner is going to find out who has his dog, and then the press are going to find out, and the new "owners" are going to find their names and faces on the front page of some rag, vilified by the community. This will happen even if the new owners have no idea what's going on.

    What do you expect him to do? Stand up there and cry like a baby? Of course the words were rehearsed. The CEO is only answerable to the board and shareholders. He doesn't have to apologize to the managers or the employees. Considering how fickle investors are, he needs to say all the right things to make sure none of them panic.

    Sounds to me like he had a consensual relationship with an underling that was prohibited by company rules. That's why it's not a sexual harassment violation, because no one felt he (or she) was harassed. If so, then as far as I'm concerned, he didn't really do anything wrong (IMHO), so he should just make his exit quickly and be done with it.

    Sorry if this is off-topic, but can you tell me more about this "spouses of citizens" part? I'm a dual US/Austrian citizen, but my wife is only a US citizen. If i work in the EU, does that mean that my wife can also get a job? If so, where exactly does it say that?

    That's not the point. If I have a site that I consider to be porn, and I want it to be treated like porn, I'll put it on .xxx. I wouldn't put a site on .xxx unless I want it to be considered porn.

    I seriously doubt we're going to have any web site *forced* to be put on .xxx even if the owner doesn't consider it to be porn.

    A lot of the problems with statutory rape laws would go away if the age of consent were 14, like it is in many countries. It's really hard to condone a 21-year-old having sex with a 13-year-old.
