Of course, things like installed software and settings and the registry will have to reside on a HDD or some other re-writable media.
And it's those things (installed software: virused, malware, adware, spyware)(settings and registry: facilitate the auto-starting nature of previously mentioned installed software) that will get Windows users back into trouble.
If you want Windows (not a windows act-alike version of linux) to be free of such problems you have three solutions, get the folks at MS to make a better product, hack Windows into something better yourself, or firewall/spamguard/anti-virus/ad-aware/etc yourself into a digital fortress of sorts.)
Most people would say a nice 'format c:' would solve the problem, but for most people, that isn't good
Because we're focused on helping 'non-computer people.'
They might not be able to understand the command line interface to type such a command, nor find the format option in the menu and successfully slection the right options from the dialog box.
SerialEx13 is right on the money.
I put in for a $50 rebate on a HDD. Bought the thing September '04. The rebate form, reciept copy, and bottom panel of the box went into the mail the same day. It's now April '05 and three calls and 1 fax to Best Buy have given me nothing but one long distance fax charge and no rebate yet.

2005 Hugo Nominations

Sometimes it's not clear that the Hugos are for sci-fi in all forms, not just the written form.
For example take the category
Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form
Nominated are:
Heroes Part 1 & 2 - Stargate SG-1
Not Fade Away - Angel
Pilot Episode - Lost
Smile Time - Angel
33 - Battlestar Galactica
And of course, 33 will win, but don't get me started on being off topic.

Unless you're playing the Harntox mods you won't find any player usable vehicles in ghost recon. (God, I still love that game, GR2 for the PC has alot to live up to.)
Prone
I would like to be able to lie down and fire in the prone position. While were talking crazy, how about a roll? Bungie could pull this off in a few ways. Holding down the left thumbstick makes you crouch in both Halo games. Bungie could build on that. A simple click and release could put the player in a prone position. You would click the stick once more to stand up. Once the Chief is prone, forward and back on the thumbstick would make him crawl forward and back. Left and right would cause the Chief to roll in those respective directions. Think about it -- you could snipe from underneath a Warthog or just change the oil.
Changing the oil is the job for the AI.

Indeed you are in error. I am well over 3000 years old. Thank god for time dialation, I got to miss most of it while in transit from one planet to another.
Why on earth would no movie be better than any of the alternatives? If the movie turns out to be great, great. If it sucks, too bad, we'll all have wasted about 2 hours of our lives. Or would a bad movie somehow ruin the book for you?
HEY MAN! My reputation as at stake here (Look at my Username.)
He was also part of the Strategic Defense Initiative in the 80s
I never heard of that band, but now he's got a solo career going. ROCK ON BIG MIKE!
But, he's been a real busy guy, he started out way back in the 80's (1880's!) playing baseball and even managed the Brooklyn Bridegrooms who would become the Brooklyn, then Los Angeles of Los Angeles Dodgers.
Dude, what was I thinking? Screw patches..think MODS!
No Counterstrike, no Natural Selection, no Harntox, no Dark Angel, and the list goes on.
(PS: the last three are Ghost Recon mods/add-on)
Honestly, this shouldn't have taken this long to come to fruitation.
Microsoft has chosen a feature that not only makes sense, but saves time, hd space, and hopefully hastle.
Of course, a PC game that's unpatchable, so when the game has a bad reaction to you video card/sound card/ide controller/motherboard/monitor resolution/colordepth/mouse/etc. you're totaly SOL unless there's some provision to burn a new copy of the disk with patch(es) integrated into the new copy.
You'd have figured a computer problem more likely for this shuttle...but if it's got to be derbis it'll probably be 4x6x9 in it's dimensions, perfectly smooth and total black and unreflective. Oh yes, it'll be full of stars.
We better have the Alexei Leonov ready to launch incase we need a rescue mission.

They're a monopoly yet Firefox has managed to grab more and more from IE. IE vs Firefox is NOT about Operating Systems for the x86 platform.

Ahh..yes... uncomfortable places for sex... in the back seat of a VW.
Apparently you manage the email over at Microsoft?

Who cares what it's called, I just want to know where get it for all the past episodes. 109 is currently available, but I can't find 101 to 108.
Oddly enough, I'm not latin. Just those around me who are the readiest to fight for a cause are.
prevention measures? How about we put up signs ("No Littering, $1000 fine") all over LOE (Low Earth Orbit.) No..wait...then again maybe not.
These days it's often barrio, casa, y famila (and sometimes razza) ... but then again, I live in LA.
