I'm not saying the IRA better or worse, I just believe the effect of 9-11 is worse.
What I meant by "a few" is that the number killed by the IRA is a cumulative number; relatively few are killed in each attack. Al Qaeda killed more people with a *single* attack than the IRA has cumulatively. Imagine all of those people being killed all at once, instead of over the years. I'm just saying it's not so diluted, and so has a bigger (short term) effect, and is likely to be remembered longer as well.
I'm just trying to clarify what I meant in my previous post.
Also, I tend to think that the zionists should have some land, the palestinians should have some land, and everything else they should share. It doesn't look like that will satisfy anyone, though things have been looking better lately*; especially as far as Israel is conserned, but the palestinians as well.
*lately = last couple years.
Al Qaeda is posing as defending Islam. They've perverted that so far that they've gone to a "if you're not with us you're against us" mentality.
Hmm, that was a long post. It was not meant to offend, or to argue. It was meant mostly for clarification.
I can't find an official source, so I won't quote anything. However, please find for me something official that contradicts this: The IRA has killed fewer people than died on 9-11. Also, the majority of people killed by the IRA were not civilians, but were British soldiers.
So, let's review. IRA-kills a few soldiers at a time. Al Qaeda-kills a few thousand civilians all at once. Historically, IRA fighting for what they believe to be their homeland. Al Qaeda thinks the U.S. is full of heathens who need to be killed just 'cause.
Hmm, nope, you guys just don't get it, they're trying to kill as many of us as possible, and they target civilians.
We have some Amish around here, and if you're claiming they don't affect the economy, you are wrong.
They don't pay taxes, but still take advantage of public services. They live on roads that get plowed in the winter. They use the publicly maintained roads. I used to take a bus to school; that bus picked up a few Amish children and took them to their school, and back home at the end of the day. There's probably more stuff that they use but don't pay for, but those are all I can think of right now.
most of the highways where I live (central/upstate NY) have only 2 lanes, plus on/off ramps. Except for a span of an exit or two, that's how it is. I tend to drive fast, but I follow the "drive right" rule whenever possible. As long as everyone stays as far to the right as possible, there should be no problems.
However, to ensure that passing is possible, I suggest that to pass someone, you must be going at least 5 mph faster than they are. Nobody going 70.1 mph should pass someone going 70.0 mph. Sounds funny, but I've been stuck behind two commercial trucks for miles at a time because the only difference in speed was due to going up/down hills, based on how heavy the trucks were.
I think both sentences work, it's just that the first has a "negative" correctness value; since the first was wrong, being just as correct makes it just as wrong.
Granted, it also got a face-lift to the XP theme, which I don't think it needed, but stuff is much better organized.
I'm especially fond of the new way to make filters. Just a right click and couple lefts and Outlook provides most of the necessary options to make a filter that would match the current message. I use it to sort each sender into its own folder (senders I know I'm going to get more from).
I'm not an MS fan boy, but Office 2k3 seems to run faster than Office XP, with more features. If I recall correctly, they actually made the MS Word executable smaller from XP to 2k3 (note: I didn't compare dll's or anything, and I looked at the size a long time ago.).
Star Trek is in the FUTURE of this galaxy. Star Wars happened "A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away". Not only would they have to time travel, they would have to go farther and faster than either franchise has even dreamed of. I doubt it could be done with Star Wars tech, which seems to be kinda slow, I mean, I don't even know how they get around going at just light speed. The fastest transport in the Trek franchise is probably whatever took Voyager to the Delta quadrant. I think the only way it could be done is with a wormhole, which would allow both the distance and time to be covered. Someone would still have to transport one end of the wormhole to the other end of the univers, making sure they got the speed right.
I'll second that; the DMCA is a load of something nobody wants. hmm, maybe we should rename "crap" to "DMCA". for example, we could say "I just took a DMCA"
Intel and AMD have been "secretly" (they don't talk much about it, but every one knows it) copying each other for years. to be truthfull, it's usually AMD copying Intel.
But every time the other one adds something spiffy (or not so spiffy), it gets copied. Why? Because consumers like it that way. Really, do you want to see what would happen if you couldn't move things between them seemlessly? Evey developer (including M$) would have to develope two different versions of everything. So, you'd have 2 different versions of Windows, which might not even be compatible with each other. IMO, Intel has a better rep for quality, but that's not the point.
My point: I don't care who copies who, as long as it's easy to swap between them afterwards so that I could always choose based on speed, and not worry about compatibility.

I thought Al Gore created it?
I can only guess that since there isn't a new story every 5 seconds, someone has to approve stories posted.
so, wouldn't someone think to themselves "hey, this isn't news, this is history, we already saw this..."
oh...nevermind.

do or do not, there is no try.
hrm...
Yup, it really did.

bottom line, this is impossible.
Easiest way to get one without modding: unplug the ide cable from the dvd drive. (Though you do need to open the box to do that.)
