Hell, if they made one that worked on Verizon I'd buy it and use the SIM in my Galaxy Nexus for a few days just to play with it.
If Microsoft were serious about Windows Phone, they'd push harder to get it on the largest US network. Right now the only WP on Verizon is the HTC Trophy, which is two years old and doesn't do LTE.
As an academic researcher with interests in security, I take offense at that. We do things like this for a living. It's kind of important to analyze cryptographic schemes for vulnerabilities, since data privacy and security depends on it.
You forgot the part about the Defiant coming along on an unspecified mission, taking some of them off the planet before blowing up, and the Federation Six encountering all sorts of international conspiracy before deciding they need to go back to the planet, and then going back in time to the 2190s when Section 31 has a base there.
And then there's the button you have to push before Omega particles are released, but I was never really clear on that one.
Well then don't use it for wagers. I could care less about sports betting - I'll use one to watch the next season-and-a-half of Lost. And maybe catch the new Star Trek movie afterward. It's gotta be on "SyFy" sometime in a couple years!
J.J. Abrams. Damon Lindelof. LOST. Need I say more?
Nemesis and Enterprise made me want to abandon Star Trek altogether (actually should have even earlier). But having seen who's working on this one, and being a huge Lost fan, I'm actually excited.
One of those Latitude D-Series notebooks was probably mine. It's funny how it crashes so much more often than my new computer that I bought elsewhere, but when I leave it with CC for a month to loop through diagnostics they find nothing.
I really only use my Dell now when I need something portable (it's amazing how much an extra 1.4" takes away from this). It also has the added bonus of a long warranty for when it jumps out of my backpack and over a table again.:)
I have a printer, but still need the computer labs sometimes when my computer is in the shop.
If the University wants to get rid of the computer labs, they should consider this: sometimes personal laptops need repairs, and they take a while when technicians would rather try reformatting before ponying up for a warranty claim when the diagnostics clearly say there's a hardware error (I'm looking at YOU, Cavalier Computers).
There's the one thing that gives you the edge - you actually care about what you're doing. It doesn't take extra smarts to do these things, just the drive to do it. And that's what will get you somewhere in life. I'm the same way (to a much lesser extent though), but I think the same thing when people wonder why I'm a Rodman scholar and they aren't.
Don't worry that you're not "out drinking, having fun and getting laid." It's overrated, and it won't matter in 5 years anyway.
I actually read his book. Once you get over how mind-bogglingly slow it is (to a computation theory nut at least) you find it only really says one "profound" thing: simplicity can produce complexity.
Well DUH. How do you think amino acids evolved to become intelligent life? Seriously, this guy gives himself way more credit than he deserves.
My first thought: CowboyNeal!
Those are just the ones you hear about because they're the ones who gloat.
Compare to Whitey Bulger, who actually did keep a low profile, and it almost worked.
Correction: 1 year old. Still, compare to Android on Verizon.

It can do Java out of the box. :-P
But in all seriousness, add the right plugins and wait for it to load and Eclipse will blow everyone out of the water.
Easy now, I meant I hope it doesn't happen in May.
Tom Baker's getting up there in years...God I hope it doesn't happen
Graphical issues were fixed last night in 4.0.267.0. Much better now.

That would be because it is.
You either absolutely love or absolutely hate Lost. I guess we're on the opposite sides of that one, eh?

Now if only I can find the $$$ needed for it...

I still can't imagine Sylar as Spock, though...

That would be a good point, but TFS shows otherwise. UVa is a public school, and there's still only four students admitted in 2007 without computers.

I apologize for the small rant.

Yeah, and April 14th is Chicken and Lickin' Day, so the guy who made up S&Bj day wouldn't come off as sexist. (I saw it in a Facebook event last year)
Or it would be April 14th, except my birthday already claimed that spot.

kola...isn't that a KDE program? Then again, shouldn't this whole release be KDE-only? I mean, it's all K's...
Yeah, but you'll need all that power to run Windows 8
It's only a myth?! But...but...I have a disability and I WANT FRICKIN' LASERS, DAMMIT.
This idea was invented by Shampoo.
"This idea was invented by Shampoo."
Which is exactly why I'm a PC guy
Seriously, I'm just going to install and use Linux anyway - I want the best hardware for the lowest price.
