He is also appealing this decision to the Supreme Court as well, good luck there. If that is unsuccessful then he will appeal to the Minister of Immigration and then he will be deported (Minister hardly ever changes the decision).
He has been well served by our Court system and will have to abide by the consequences, trumped up charges or not.
As far as the charges themselves go, yeah bit dodgy and our previous Govt wanted to suck US c*** over that.

In NZ new cops out of college get $NZ 62,000 which is roughly the same but goes up from there. Also they had old Crown Victoria's that were in need of replacement etc.
