How is a four minute boot time for a high-end dual core processor laptop "better"?
My son's Mac mini boots, sends email, has open chat, records a video, and shuts down before a WinVista machine finishes booting with the same raw processor power.
Personally, I don't get why spending 100 hours fighting combats that prove nothing other than your ability to log on when the Alliance is low on twinks and the Horde is strong makes anyone feel they've accomplished anything.
It's like those useless combat awards I got in the Army - half are for things that anyone can do...
The NDP always has what they think are the best interests of the people in mind when they introduce bills. Of course, being the NDP, this means that everyone will be wary about touching it.
Not really true. Frequently, in Canada's multi-party parliamentary system, NDP proposals have formed the core of major legislative changes that were enacted into law - it's not like the United Russian States of America, comrade. They negotiate.
I'd gladly give the artist 10 cents, but the recording execs won't get one penny out of me and mine.
Heck, most of my CDs I've bought from the artists themselves, knowing they tend to get HALF the money I give them, as opposed to buying through a label that gives them less than 2 cents for a CD.
I would have to agree - I used to start new characters and guilds because the mid-level grind after 20 was just way too boring for someone who:
a. has a full time job b. has a life c. has a kid
But now I can frequently just pop on and get a level or two with the few hours I can spare, so I've stopped creating new characters and am leveling my existing ones in preparation for the expansion(s).
This 250 GB monthly bandwidth cap sounds like a lot to you, but you don't have a 17 yo son who prefers to watch his Japanese anime undubbed in the original but subtitled Japanese because the voice actors are better at getting the raw feel of the story.
Look, South Korea has people who use that bandwidth in a DAY.
And no amount of lying will change that basic fact, nor the fact that every mail server recipient host also has a copy of the intentional fraudulent emails from the White House.
I left IT and went into Biotech/Genetics Research

I kind of got the same way, but I just jumped over to Biotech and Genetics Research, working in Bioinformatics.
It's more fun, and if you choose a good group, you can work for useful things that you don't feel ethically constrained by.
You can cash out and work on the commercial side, or you can work for various educational institutions (like me at the University of Washington) or non-profits.
The fun thing is that it's both new and not new at the same time, but you're accomplishing useful things - like working on cures for malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, you name it.
I for one am wondering about the downstream materials requirements for the runecrafter class and all the new upper level addons for Death Knights, and how that will distort the WoW economy even more.
On the other hand, so long as it uses copper ore in vast quantities, my low level n00bs will be raking in the Gold...
Labs don't care about what you gamers do.
Unless we are doing graphics simulations - which we most decidely are not.
I say again - WinVista is, quite frankly, a dog.
Better?

Got drivers? If you've got Vista ... nope.
And the fact that our few boxen with it run like dogs even with dual core high end processors.
Even with the effects turned off it's dog slow.
If they kill the ability for us to buy XP we're going to an all Linux/Unix shop.

All this does is penalizes the true citizens and rewards the terrorists for their actions.
Why do you think the Gates Foundation has sold so much Microsoft stock?
Next thing you know, they'll want me to give back my elephant's foot ergonomic chair and my Siberian Tiger solar-powered coat ...
I can personally attest that it's not just Facebook that's violating my Constitutional RIGHTS.
And as a dual citizen living in the USA, under NAFTA, I never gave up my rights by living here either, under the treaty.
Which, as any educated American knows, supercede any Congressional laws, as treaties are a higher law.
Not really true. Frequently, in Canada's multi-party parliamentary system, NDP proposals have formed the core of major legislative changes that were enacted into law - it's not like the United Russian States of America, comrade. They negotiate.
Meanwhile the USA is 43rd out of 45 major nations in terms of internet speed ... and wireless speed.
...
Face it, a fraction of bandwidth is not going to help us.
What would help us would be a govt that cares about America instead of lining their comrades' pockets
Cause if it is, I can't get it to work on a 2004 WinXP laptop, so why would I stop playing WoW to play it?
I'd gladly give the artist 10 cents, but the recording execs won't get one penny out of me and mine.

And regard anyone who thought a Social Security Number (or the Canadian SIN) was unique as not just a fraud, but a gullible fraud at that.
My question is why the hackers couldn't have signed him up to be arrested by the NSA and shipped to GITMO?

Besides, I always wanted to be a runecrafter.
I can't even get Pirates to run on my WinXP laptop that was brand new in 2006.
... now if they could get it to run in Linux ...
Sorry, but I can get it to run WoW.
Does that answer your question?
Haven't you seen the documents the BBC is covering on UFOs and Aliens in the UK?
...
That's why you aren't finding aliens there

It's a new Death Knight spell.
Oops
Well, does this mean the Level 90 expansion is Fire Gods? Or Elemental Warriors?
If both Horde and Alliance can be Death Knights, you have to wonder what the next expansion will be.
