    Let's not get carried away here....you could always buy the camera simply for the free beer and then never hook it up to your computer.

    Could this be the drug industry's "Firestone"? Yet another example of he classic irresponsible/corrupt/greedy corp. that tries to cover up its own blunders.

    The firestone debacle was really ford's fault b/c their engineers were too lazy to design a smooth riding suspension system so they simply recommended that the users run ~26 psi in their tires =/ At least thats what I have always been told.

    After IT enforced monthly changing passwords requiring so many letters with numbers in between, now I write it on a post-it note and stick it on the monitor.

    Wow, your IT folks must be really nice! Here when they found out we were browsing porn they got mad and restricted our web access, but your IT people advise you on password safety....thats AWESOME!

    I've always felt the goal of technology was to become as unintrusive as possible. Making things that "just work" without fiddling or even minimal setup is one way to make technology invisible.

    Thats funny, because I buy stuff JUST to fiddle with it most of the time :)

    This one isn't that far from 'dumb'. Someone on my list had it the other night and I got a message saying to check out the screen saver they made.....now, if it had been one of maybe 3-4 people on my list I would have clicked without asking questions first, except for the fact that the sent. was capitalized.

    Point here is that I am 'tech savvy' but if my buddy who I chat techie stuff with all the time and who also sends me links to funny articles/pictures daily were to send me a link to a jpg I would click it without verifying with him he meant to sent it.

    This worm stands to be a real pain in the ass for even intelligent users.

    I use Avast as well, its very, very nice. I have been using it for a year now and am yet to get infected with anything since then. It runs quietly in the background, auto updates definitions as well as program versions.

    Best of all, its FREE (as in Beer)!
