No kidding, You can download over 20GB per month on a dialup connection, if they cap you at a ridiculously low amount like 10gb, people might as well go back to the stone age!
Bandwidth really is cheap. And it is economically feasible for our ISP's to give us the bandwidth they desire. We need to have networks built like Sweden. In Portland, OR the city is thinking about putting in Fiber to everyone as a tax.
I feel like we live in an idiocracy where people don't realize that we're taking steps backwards in technology with all of this quota is fair argument.
I want a future where everything is totally interactive and high quality. The technologies are here, we have cheapish fiber and DWDM, we have all kinds of network load balancing hardware available. ISPs in America just need to get with it. Are we becoming a third world country?
I'd reform the current Trademark, Copyright, and Patent laws.
I would do my best to end Government Corruption. Kickbacks get you kicked out!
I would also get rid of this whole Mexican Border Wall thing. I would instead put that money into reliable sources to build warehouses and roads in Mexico to give them immediate jobs on the building projects and sustainability in their economy for better jobs later. This would alleviate the main problem, which is immigrants wanting to come here for better jobs.
I would not remove all troops from Iraq, but would definitely downsize and do our best to get the majority of our troops out within 5 years.
I actually didn't know Postgres had that feature. I'll have to look into that. I do prefer Postgres over MySQL.
I have a barely used MySQL server stable debian install on a server with 1024mb of ram and dual xeons that crashes about once a week, similar servers we have run with postgres never crash.
SQL Server 2005 is Amazing. If you look at performance and stability over it's predecessors and then look at the performance over competitors and how seasoned USPs are and the ability to use.NET code in the database.
I have had to manually configure my monitors in 2005 with some distros. None the less 1995. I think your post is flamebait!:)
I was shaving one day and knocked my treo 700w into a toilet, I grabbed it out immediately and took the battery out, ran clean non chlorinated water through it, put it in the oven on 150F for about 5 hours, put the battery back in and it worked fine for months. I eventually moved to an xv6700. It still worked fine though.
I just tried it on my treo 700w, your fingers are near the top and your thumbs are up there too, the screen is down low enough that you see it just fine, not one bit of it is obstructed. And I'm a big guy with fat fingers.
I'm part of the administration and our security is up to me. Our manangers just had emails sent out to notify them of the exploits, the only affected by the 'group' policy is the callcenter workers. My only boss is the CEO. Who didn't disagree one bit.
Our workers do not need to get new doc files. It's a callcenter and they can access network doc files. Some of our employees have tried everything they can to break network security.
You don't give the keys to your car to some random person who doesn't need them.
I use Google Browser Sync plugin for firefox, when it crashes I open it back up and all of my tabs and windows are opened up again if I want them to be.
This might be a helpful find for you! =)
They should need a warrant to retreive those records, and to get the warrant they should already have some good valid reason to go in and search for just you.
Might want to check Symantec Ghost Suite out, it lets you build AI packages that take snapshots of a computer before a setting, update, or program is installed, and a snapshot afterwards then lets the domain / network administrator roll out the updates to all computers with just a few clicks.
And is there the possibility of working from home covertly? I would be interested in helping out with our nation's cyberwar defense efforts.

I spent all day playing it before checking the comments, I can't stand flying using the direction keys. The mouse is smooth though.
I knew there was a reason for inbound and outbound NAT rules and packet filters!
:)
Come on admins!!!!!! If they can't do it then they won't do it

I'm a windows network admin, and I made a group policy to deny people downloading new word format files, atleast until they put a good patch out.
I installed the plugin for IE and it crashes my browser every time I visit their website. It's at local.live.com and virtualearth.com

Slashdot seems to be having big server issues this morning!

This would work perfectly
This might seem interesting as a DIY project, but it's a quite worthless gadget, while neat that it's possible, it shouldn't be big news.
If they just start making the movies where only computers can view them, people won't want to copy them anymore. *hint: people can't view them*

It seems like they'd have to commit a crime to catch you for the act.
Almost like having gay sex is illegal in some states, I want to meet some of these jackasses.
As we know it!
I feel fine.

If it had more than one too many in the first place =)
