makes alot of sense. why pay a doller for a song when you can go on a p2p network 10 min after it comes out and find it there.
perfect example: when the foo fighters released their single "exclusively" on iTunes, it was available on limewire in probably 5 min from when it went up on iTunes.

i thought that the theaters had do be dolby digital and the video portion was digital, or maybe i was just half listening to my friend when he was explaining it
i perfer picasa over other picture sorter software things. being able to upload directly to your blog (on blogger, another google product, using hello, also a google product) is convient
But when they tell Dell that every person who orders a computer there has to also buy a copy of windows, that's pretty crappy.
Easy fix: don't buy a Dell. Look at http://www.newegg.com/ or *shudder* TigerDirct. They have complete systems or you can have your local geek tell you what parts to buy and (s)he can build it for you. Total flexability.

i believe what the author is refering to is the fact that the layer of the disk where the data is stored deteriates over time
it does say that you cannot use a personal laptop on the school network. (probably to prevent those darn windows viruses from running rampant)
