  1. Great point. I can see wanting a smart watch someday, but not until the size and price are both much lower than today and the functionality is about 10x greater. Thanks to early adoptors pumping in money, it won't take long.

    In many areas it's possible to consider papers passed to a parent valid to assume that the child will get them (yes, even for adult children away from the home), so this should be at least as direct.

    I've often wondered if the quality of the devices such as USB external drives are not the same as elsewhere as I have the worst luck with drives from their failing early. Maybe the staff drops them a lot or something.

    While what you say is true it my experience too, this will be an important case to see what our rights will be. Will I be jailed indefinetly for forgetting my password? I just forgt my banking pin a few weeks back and that is only four numbers.

    True, from what I've seen, they actually re-design them regularly so that people can't get used to where the options are.

    I guess they want to allow faster speed so that webpages load quicker and such. Another way to approach that would be to throttle at 256kbps or so, but allow bursting for a few seconds to a higher speed.

    My company was getting false / bulk / spam DMCA requests starting in 2002 from major companies. Started to cause major problems with my hosting company because they were getting tired of forwarding all the messages. I really think there needs to be a repercussion for sending in false and especially bulk / automated DMCA spam.

    Sometimes I'm glad I can hardly tell the difference between 128kb encoded mp3s vs anything higher. At least my wallet thanks me.

    Seems like a good idea, but what's to stop them from selling the old meds to say 100 customers per year, so it's technically not "abandoned" ?

    Yeah I think if someone would make a android mp3 player with a 2TB 2.5" laptop drive, and the same battery saving caching technology that the original iPod had that might be a killer device for DJs and a few other types of people.
