I have had this same problem as well. At the time I also had a primus VOIP phone connected to the same Cable modem, and it had the same problem... I switched to my backup ADSL line and both VOIP hardward and skype worked fine.
It will only be a matter of time before this rootkit DOES cause thousands of dollars of damage (probably hundreds of thousands) even if it is from the removal effort, the fault will still be with Sony music.
yes, in fact you'll find the quarter mile markers with cameras great places to start your quarter-mile track times from. just make sure you stop before the next one!
I think the real question is, can their software predict how installing DRM rootkit viruses onto users computers will effect future CD sales for Sony music?
I know how it is going to effect my buying pattern - I will never buy a music CD again.
Lots of power plants that run things like coal and natural gas could simply burn less fuel during times of high solar output - and the solar energy could be used instead. The nuke plants can't be "turned down" of course.
Even hydro-electric dams can could slow the fall of water and keep it high until nighttime when heating energy is needed and the solar output isn't there.
Another idea might be to use solar energy to turn water into hydrogen in the daytime, and it could be burned at night to heat (or power your car!) quite enviro friendly
I wonder the same thing all the time when my wife insists on printing photos for albums. I'd much rather go through the album with my wireless keyboard and mouse on my 50" screen in living room than looking at little 4*6 glossies.. I add some background music dim the lights - it's great! Would be even nicer to have a projector and a 100" screen. I do like getting prints to put up on the wall though.
Good idea to give the zip file an uninteresting sounding name "cat_photos.zip" that way no body will even bother to look. just don't call them "pussy_photos.zip":)
Interesting point, what is going to happen when OSS developers include DRM type restrictions in their products - anyone can pull them from the source and rebuild. Do they really think this will slow anyone down? Anyone here experenced with limewire java source? I'd be interesting in paying someone for some modifications... ken_smith@mailblocks.com
It's pretty much the way the law has to work to catch theives. It's rare to catch someone in the act of stealing something, but easy to catch them with it afterwords.
A good thing to do before buying anything used is to ask for the serial number before paying, then check with the police to make sure it is not stolen. When the item arrives, check to make sure the serial they gave you matches and the decal is unaltered.
I have an infiniti g35 coupe with the BOSE stereo.. and yes I agree BOSE BLOSE. I have $8 computer speakers that sound better.
Fortunetly the car has a sweet sound that I'd rather listen to anyway.
To me this seems like a pretty good idea. It would be wise to keep the numbers of them small and spread out in relativly safe locations so that the unfriendlies wouldn't bother to target them too much . Be very useful to airlift that much weight even very short distances - lift tanks up a clif from a ship that would otherwise have been impossible.
Purhaps the printer driver software will include spyware that combined with hardware in the printer will report back to them if you refil your cartrige.
Flashblock is a must! Before it I kept flash installed on IE for those rare times when I needed to use it, and I kept mozilla clean of flash. Now with flashblock I never use IE.
That's it. Time for your 'flu' shot.

I'm pretty sure this is ISP related
I would love to see the ad campain for these thicker glass copiers :)
ass-proof glass copiers

REAL mistake that was made: using any AOL service
All I can say is why?

BSD is not dying in my house, I've got twice as many servers running it now - and a new firewall!
A company I worked at actually had a beer keg. It was only for after-hours, but it was paid for by them. ahh the pre-dot-bomb days
My only office program is Notepad.exe IMHO, the best Windows software Microsoft ever made. Loads fast!
do you mean evil.google.com:666/?
thanks what I was thinking. man, I could have been looking at pr0n
You had a laptop last a year? I'm going to go buy one today!

QNX makes a really nice RTOS.

If they would have at least used gimp in linux they would be a lot cooler...
