  1. It's only art if someone produces it. Unless you can show there's some sort of AI or other intelligence, I would think they could argue it's not art. It's machine output.

There's also a heck of a lot of work to do for patents. You have to have a notebook, that has numbered pages. You need to show how you came to this invention. You also have to mention prior art. And so on.

Being a patent troll isn't easy work. A whole lot easier than coming up with a real invention, however. I'd argue that if a company isn't using the patent, it's invalid. That would blow a lot of them away right there.

Should be clear. Bad hurricane - MMGW. IT's too hot - MMGW. It's too cold - MMGW. Nothing happened for 15 years - Still have MMGW. Anything happens - MMGW. Nothing is natural anymore.

  7. Yes it's warming up. It's been warming up for over 1000 years. Not man's fault. Even NASA is distancing themselves from the bullshit some of their "scientists" have put out there - https://www.rt.com/news/338810... . If Turkey can tell you're full of crap, isn't it a bit obvious guys?

BTW, understand that Bill Nye isn't a scientist. He just plays one on TV. Check out his bio.

  8. People have no idea today. I remember when there used to be a separate bathroom for whites and blacks. Often a separate water fountain. As if black people were animals or had something contagious or something. I remember asking about it. The grown ups would just say shush. They didn't want to even discuss it. I knew something awful was going on.

I can remember communities that were gated off. No blacks or Jews. The gates came down in the 1970s.

Jim Crow, etc. Those were policies of the Democrats in the south. Look it up, Governor Wallace, etc. President Eisenhower (Republican) sent in the Army to allow black kids to go to a white school in the south. Imagine that, they had to send in the army because people were scared of a few black children. When JFK came to power he had a few WTF moments with the Democrats in the south as well. Hitting adults and children with water canons and attack dogs. No kidding, they really did that.

Some people decided to blow up a few black churches in the south, with people in them. I can't imagine how they would think that was a good idea.

So many people aren't aware of this and other things that happened, not that long ago.

For the Men and Women that were black and overcame this stuff, that's really a tribute to them. As with successful people of other races, it should uplift black people. They really can make something of themselves. So many think that being born black is like a terminal disease. They'll never be anything, they'll always get cut down, so why even try. Do drugs, do crimes, go to jail, that's normal. I've heard it many times.

If you're one of these people and I grew up with a few people that turned out to be these people, it's not a problem. They are often better looking women than women are. One is a model for womens apparel.

Exercise in stupidity to be honest with you. No idea why they thought this was a good law to pass.

  10. Re:Not just a bathroom law on PayPal Pulls North Carolina Plan After Transgender Bathroom Law (reuters.com) · · Score: 1

There's a problem there. Being LGBT isn't a protected group. To be honest, there is no protection for them unless Congress acts and makes them a protected group like Race, Gender, and the other groups that are protected. It would be a good move for them to do that.

Just because someone is LGBT, I don't think that should protect them over a group that is clearly protected, such as a religious group. The LGBT people think they've won the lottery if they can find someone that objects to them. Sort of like some black people of the 1970s with fair housing did. They'd go from real estate agency to real estate agency to see if they could cook up a case. If someone doesn't want to serve them, that's fine. As a White, Straight, Male, if someone doesn't want to serve me - tough. It's happened just because I was white. That's fine, I moved on. They weren't there that long anyway. If a bakery doesn't want to serve them, that should be fine too. We shouldn't shove it down their throat and make them do something they don't want to do. We outlawed slavery about 150 years ago after all. Let them go to another bakery.

In America we shouldn't be hurting one group to placate another. Let's just get along. The best way to stop racism, discrimination, sexism is to - stop it. Not make new forms of it.
