sure, lets fix the problem of an asteroid the size of texas from hitting our planet.
jokes aside, going into space might be the easier, cheaper, less blood spilling solution.
i think some of these guys are trained... look at the pic.. the guy is using a high knee to his opponent... if you notice he is also controlling the guys head similar to what they do in muay thai kickboxing. sure, u can watch enough UFC tapes and pick up the moves, but just knowing that you need to pull the guys head into your knee (while your knee is hip driven) is a weapon enough.
ive heard lots of arguements that XM is no better in quality than regular radio and in my experience as an XM subscriber, this is very true sometimes. i pay for XM for less commercials and more of my kind of music... not because i think the quality is any better. so, wasnt the RIAA's arguement all about CD quality music being copied? thats why they didnt care about radio?? digital != high quality all the time... so are they going to start suing internet radio stations because their 96kbps stream is digital and can be stream ripped?
sure, it might not ever become a household word... but it will on the backend, have a big overall effect in general whether anyone is aware of it or not. but more people have been introduced to running an OS on an OS... OS9 on OSX? and just this week i told 3 different people about vmware workstaiton/player as a way to run their old apps.
it sets a good example though. imagine if more companies followed mozilla's lead and started donating $$$... if ibm, novell, RH, whoever each donated 10K, then openbsd/ssh would be in much better shape.
sounds like p2p is evolving to avoid the likes of *aa... great to have free speech and all that, but suppose it gets bigger and every child porn nut job hops on it and starts downloading... couldnt the gov/isp's step in and kill it? not sure if its even possible anywhere to outlaw a program/technology...
is MS more trusted in making claims/facts than the open source world? if so, then yes, its probably a double standard. if not, then perhaps there is a reason why this is so.
did you show them the numbers? IF your upper managers are sensible, then showing them financial gains should win them over or at least make them stop and think. of course youll probaly need to do so in a way that they like to see and are used to seeing.
well there is a place you can shove the USB key that your employer probaly wont bother to (or want to) check... but they might get curious about why you walk funny and can't sit for more than 30 seconds.
certs only mean something to HR and management that has not worked in the trenches and have not taken any of these exams to realize they dont teach you much about real world scenarios.
making a robot look more human still doesnt make it look completely human. especially since itll probaly only look human enough to be creepy. kinda like the computer rendered movies like Final Fantasy... sure it looks real-ish... but the characters are still somewhat lifeless.
if i RTFA correctly, their honeymonkeynet found a new 0day that was previously unknown? a vulnerability that has been out there for who knows how long and has been used to exploit an unknown # of surfers?
i do recall a while back some MS spokesperson saying something about how patching is bad because their patches are reverse engineered into exploits and how if MS didnt release patches, then no one would be able to write exploits... i guess that argument has been thrown out the window (again).
so my master plan of traveling back in time and giving myself winning lotto numbers wont work because ive already observed myself being broke as a joke?!?!
how secure it is, is yet to be seen... but sad as it is... many suits will believe it just because MS say is it.

which mean MS is 10 years behind in the malware war.

and it also makes me charming and good looking and the girl across the room from is suddenly hot.
now lets see "Hulk vs DRM" imagine how pissed he would be when he finds out his music player only supports atrac.

true, but it cant spread it the way p2p can... it also takes some bad press coverage too...

it probaly sounds really cool to non-technical executives.

"And the mosquitoes. Mosquitoes suck." they also swallow.

MS and Google were Kai-Fu fighting... those cats were fast as lightening...
