This seems to have just been a procedural step in the progress of this suit (as TFA notes):
As a result, Cybersitter's suit against the PRC, Zhengzhou Jinhui Computer System Engineering Ltd., Beijing Dazheng Human Language Technology Academy Ltd. and PC OEMs Sony, Lenovo, Acer, Asustek, BenQ, and Haier, may proceed.
I don't believe that it would make much difference if there were a judgment against PRC, b/c there is no way to enforce a US court's judgment against another sovereign.
Also according to TFA, Sony tried to remove the case to China's courts, but . . .
The court denied Sony's motion, but did state in its ruling that China itself would qualify as "as an adequate alternative forum" for trial, instead of the United States.
It is unlikely that Sony (and the other defendants) would've paid for their lawyers to try to remove the suit to China unless they thought that the outcome would be more favorable for them there; most likely that means that the lax protection for IP infringement there would have negated any recovery for Cybersitter.
The ironic result is that by this decision Cybersitter is going to get its best/only shot at the most it could hope to recover from this suit.
The squid ending to the graphic novel version of Watchmen, was supposed to be a bit "comic book-y".
Perhaps I am mistaken, but it seemed that the point of the entire series was to (a) throw in every literary device and bit of grotesquerie that the comics code was inveighed against, and (b) to show how juvenile (obviously) the resulting super-good-vs-super-evil stories had become (think Super Skrull, super-breath, super-hearing, super-boweling, etc.).
B/c it was so well done in the first instance, I did not see the movie and have no desire to do so.

From T(2d)FA ref'ed above:
My prediction is that this partnership will eventually turn Nokia into MS’s hardware division.
I agree.
I think that there is an emerging niche for "dumbphones" that would be roughly equivalent to the "compact cars" of the 1960's that eventually became Toyota and Nissan of the present.
If, on top of being a cheap, voice-centric device, by virtue of running Win7 those could do/buy "cloud" capabilities on the go as aftermarket, that might be a real iphone-killer (or at least induce worry-lines in future iphones).
That was a very long FA to say that studios may be using their own copyrighted materials to promote their own copyrighted materials via a "free" ad medium.
Does this mean she's trying to prevent others from using her name in articles/posts/blogs/etc without her approval or consent? Will she be able to use the DMCA to force removal of anything negative about her that she does't like?
Probably not. She's a public figure and in that sense she's waived any exclusivity with regard to pretty much any aspect of her public persona.
I know, I know, according to Sean Penn the public doesn't "own" celebrities, but I don't believe that they can be barred or made to pay to satire or critique the activities/opinions of those same famous folk.
I was unaware of the previous link, but was thinking the same thing:
The Tiger Mom and this study seem to be measuring/preaching whether children are taught to value and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment from long-term goals ("delayed gratification") rather than being taught self-control or self-discipline.
And yet his explanation is still a lot more understandable than TFA.
Doesn't "no censorship" imply "lack of relevance"?

Not much point in censoring a medium that doesn't have wide appeal, particularly with "the children", is there?
I'm not sure (in the English-reading world anyhow) that kids read Archie much; their preference for "alternate lifestyles" seems more focused on horny vampires and pre-teen wizards, no?
So, video games cannot duplicate or replace the actual living of one's own real life . . . and this is a bad thing, exactly why?
It looks kind of interesting to me. I think there's a potential there; a terrific baby monitor maybe?
It certainly beats a facebook page like a drum, esp. for showing "horny" status.
Before you mod me overrated/flamebait/troll etc. maybe reply to tell me why you're doing so?
Empty boast?
Or maybe just need to read the mod rules again?

Doesn't this just "off-load" the cost (usually paid by vendors) to use the credit card payment services?
That would mean we're paying twice, since we already pay for the system in the menu prices, no?
Nice acronym.
