And at other points they laughed and acted rather impatiently and IMHO nowhere in the video is there any perceived threat. Other than attempting to save someones life...
I think you point is seriously under addressed, when I graduated Undergraduate with a BS in Information Technology I had to fight tooth and nail to adjust some of the Universities core requirements to allow me to avoid having a lot of extra credits. Now I understand that that was my own poor planning but realistically I was will to agree to take harder classes in my field in exchange for not taking redundant classes in say history, english, humanities, etc... Not that I think there is anything wrong with the fore mentioned classes just that I'd already taken similar courses (IMHO of course). Still I think your point stands that maybe four years of experience isn't as useful as a degree most of the time, I'd just add the learning say Web/Database development as well as Network/System administration together opens you to a wider range of options than say only focusing on one and than having a lot of humanity courses for example along with it. I guess in summary don't cheat but also don't get cheated but your colleges narrow degree requirements there are people who will work with you to meet your needs and sometimes we all have to learn things we're not really interested in so just do your best and take the C. Thanks Dean
"significant economic and political impact" So now drilling in any and all unfavorable places will be a political beacon of hope. Upset with BP now what if there was an urgent need to drill deeper, faster, and with even less care for the impact on the world.
The relationship I'm referring to is more of a historic type where the ideas of the Torah, The Bible, or Quran are really just canonized versions of ideas all these various groups were having. No one religion has a monopoly on monotheism the thoughts and work that went into these writing are a culmination of many generations of knowledge. I don't want to leave you with the impression that I don't respect the uniqueness of any religion's wisdom but I feel no community of people could be so separated from the outside world as not to have influenced each other in the modern day versions of these texts as we know them. So burning the Quran in effect to me say had this religion is wrong so all of them are wrong. Which isn't the message the book burners in question were trying to get out there.
What upsets me is a religious center burning a book that is fundamentally related to our own religion! Even the very idea of book burning reminds me of, Marge talking about Bart: "There's something about flying a kite at night that's so unwholesome."
Sales Tax to me seems like a great way to get back that capital your stealing for your country. BTW I don't think the time period before Income tax really represented the situation we face today.
Money is not printed frivolously and the government has broken up monopolies in the past who says they won't do so in the future. In terms of politics I'm sorry but we will never have a system that doesn't require some sort of favors to get the job done it's how politics work. It was like that before income tax and will be like that forever.
So avoid what you can legally it's your right to do so, but shoving money under the bed and hoping you'll be OK because you've got capital is pointless. Just look at Greece.
Isn't the government still necessary for things like roads, schools, and everything else we share as a society. Regulations are what stop businesses from treating employees and the environment like garbage as well. What you do probably makes sense like another poster said you don't have to pay more to the state than they deserves but realistically if you have a conscience you should play "fair".
Really?
I think Chrome is doing the right thing with their interface and other could learn from Google in this respect. I mean you can alway turn on the Bookmark bar if you want a menu to access bookmarks. Plus the way Chrome put's your tabs on the top of the window saves screen space so having the Bookmark bar open isn't a big deal. Like everyone else I just hate that AdBlock Plus doesn't just stop the ads from coming in like it does on Firefox. It's hasn't prevent me from switching to Chrome but I miss AdBlock.
Plus I think the all in one Address Bar / Search Bar was a nice idea.
It drives me nuts how many people don't know how to send screenshots around. When you get a piece of text on a web page you want me to know about, just send me the text. I don't want a screenshot of the text. I really don't want a word document with a screenshot of the text. I don't want it internally, and I don't want clients/partners seeing that.
So you want that text handwritten?... better I tell you face to face?... maybe jobs that don't need computers shouldn't use them?... Maybe you should chill out?
if everyone bought expensive monitors wouldn't your point by mute, and isn't that really what the article is asking of us. Who needs an ultra fast CPU when a thousand dollar monitor is much more important to a positive end user experience.
I'm sorry maybe I misunderstood but I much prefer at will employment to a clause that states I owe a company for their mandatory training. I'm from the US though maybe it's just luxury the Netherlands isn't use to.
I totally agree that this is a good idea, but I disagree that libraries are becoming less relevant to the current generation. I would gladly welcome more digital books online but I just love holding a real book and reading in soft light. It's just more comfortable and "convenient" (well you still have to drive) to sit down with a book than sitting down at the PC to read a book.
There is nothing "Funny" about The Evangelical War On Science Look the Wikipedia gestapo may step in and stop me from explaining my very serious awareness of things like 'the back of my hand' but at least they aren't mixing pictures of Adolf Hitler and Charles Darwin as if they'd planned the Holocaust together! Conservapedia - The Trustworthy Encyclopedia must in some way just be a sick joke, a flexing of freedom of speech muscles, or as someone else said here already if a scientific person makes a non-scientific person feel silly of less informed the just might go insane and band together into an army of the living undead. Which is GREAT NEWS because we need Christian soldiers to go to Iran and get blasted to pieces thus avoiding the spread of their seed to the general god fearing population. You see people Evolution in action! (Darwin rolls in grave next to Dinosaur bones)
"Unnecessary is unnecessary, no matter how minor the consequences."~ oh really fool
Women tell me they like the look of my circumcised member vs. foreskin nonsense... their I invalided your point.
Hey x-box turn the machine off for me in less than 6 hours!
'the printed page would be such a distraction if you put it in the hands of people in worship.'
Yup thinking for yourself is a terrible distraction, you just might learn something.
And at other points they laughed and acted rather impatiently and IMHO nowhere in the video is there any perceived threat. Other than attempting to save someones life...
I still couldn't find the penis... ;) seriously though no male version this must be geared towards those of us who've never seen breasts in person. :)
And the winner... ...man... also throw woman in there and look to simplified Chinese.

Hmm were there jumbo jets moving hundreds of thousands people around the world everyday during any of the historical events you just mentioned...?
Wouldn't illegal attempts to access our G-mail accounts be a lot harder if everyone changes their password regularly. http://randomkeygen.com/

Do you subscribe to the superstition of not subscribing to superstitions than?

Really, because my FB account really isn't the wealth of personal information /. crowd seems to think it is.

Yes.
Isn't "falun gong" like the Scientology of China not that they should be censored but just saying.
If the officers have nothing to hide what are they worried about?
