    They also have facial recognition systems at the entrances to any big mall. They catch people who have warrants or who are supposed to be in jail/prison that way.

    Pretty much the only reason I let my "smart" TV connect to the Internet is for firmware updates. Don't think I've had one in a while though now so assuming they've stopped being developed I may disconnect it soon.

    As someone who has worked in AV industry, I would recommend against updating your tv's firmware unless you have a specific reason to do so.
    1/2 the time it causes more problems than it fixes. I keep my tv off the internet personally.

    It if was actually productive, GOD probably would have made it available to us without drugs. Psychedelics are not special, these are relatively simple molecules imitating neurotransmitters. So if tripping were so beneficial, it could probably be triggered through normal pathways, with the added bonus of being able to switch from high to baseline at will.

    Olive oil will bitter and smoke at a lower temperature even if it does not reach combustion.

    Flash point is a reference to the temperate at which an oil can vaporize and BECOME combustible.

    This is not auto ignition temperature.

    A lot of these issues could be fixed with some proper driver training. We need to stop using laws to try to scare people into responsibility.
    Also a decent public transportation system so people who are incapable of driving can have other ways to make a living and get around.

    It doesn't have to be complicated or expensive but it wont be legal anymore. If that doesn't bother you there is still a good option. There is plenty of places online where you can find cell phone jammers. Cuts out CDMA/3G/GSM/DCS. I would say that's the best cheapest way to let everyone keep their familiar devices while still making sure they don't have internet access. I got mine for 25 bucks online.

    You can make WiFi unusable, however.

    Technically possible but not practical for economic reasons.

    Or you could alter the classroom so RF cannot enter through the walls or ceiling.

    VERY expensive. Colleges don't really have the funds to justify that, especially when just banning the offending devices is free.

    I suppose convincing the university to alter the classroom in this manner could be difficult, but they could also see the value in having some exam rooms that are essentially faraday cages

    Why not just take the figurative bullets out of the gun (no networked devices allowed) instead of building an expensive figurative bullet proof vest. If they don't need the networked device for the test, there is no reason to allow it in the room in the first place.

    Anytime the government gets their hands on money to redistribute wealth, It is destroyed. Why would we have the government hold on to our money just to give it back to us if we were good little conservationists? Of course they take a nice big chunk in between you and you getting your money back. Yeah that makes sense.....
