I can only hope that the crime of making a digital copy that takes away no value from the original which I could have bought for 10 times its manufacturing cost of which the artist gets a negligible amount is something for which I can be forgiven.
But heaven help me, what would I do without my collection of Ashlee Simpson mp3s.
If this is the case then we don't have any reason to worry. Microsoft will have them in court so quick and for so long for patent violation they'll never be a problem. Balmer will fucking bury them!
Homer: I reluctantly accept your proposal! Bill Gates: Well everyone always does. Buy 'em out, boys!
[Gates' lackeys trash the room.] Homer: Hey, what the hell's going on! Bill Gates: Oh, I didn't get rich by writing a lot of checks! [insane laughter]
which meant that all of the users were exchanging US dollars for the rights to use virtual goods, characters and coin within the game
I think how that is supposed to read is:
which meant that all of the losers^H^H^H^H^H^Husers were exchanging US dollars for the rights to use virtual goods, characters and coin within the game
From TFA: You can do things just great--I want to be very clear about that--but...
Microsoft's message has changed over the last while. Once it was "Linux is no good", now it's "Linux is good, but we're still better".
I think they're making a strategic mistake by admitting that Linux has any credibility at all. Publicly recognizing the competition is not a good decision because it makes people realize that there are alternatives.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Not sure why you're sitting at Score:0.
Sounds like a helluva idea for a reality tv show.
I feel horrible too.

Has anyone else noticed that no one in any of these posts is defending Microsoft except for those that are confusing open standards and open source?
Could it be that not even the Microsoft fan boys can defend this particular piece of FUD?

Anything but Gigli 2!
That's just what Daisy WANTS you to think!
If they half it by half, would that mean they quarter it?
Take a look at qemu. Can't get much lower cost than free.
I disagree. Subtle sarcastic humor almost NEVER goes over so well on Slashdot.
...
Oh wait
Never mind.
Considering how few people have upgrade from 2000 to XP, it's not really a mistake.
They could be carried. Perhaps along with all the coconuts being carried by African swallows.
yes but how many of those 11 titles do you actually want?
Or maybe you logged in 60 minutes from now.
Thank God they seem to have fixed the mod system so you could get +5 for this. I laughed especially hard at the signature.
We also have to determine how many coconuts they can carry.
Do you mind being just a bit more descriptive?
If you're not being sarcastic that is. It's hard to tell.
Submit an interesting sounding post to slashdot with a link to their web site and watch their servers melt.
Of course, this assumes people try to RTFA.
I guess we'll only find out if Apple sucks it up and makes their OS able to work on Dells
I think it's more like "Will Dell suck it up and sell Dells with Apple's OS?"
You're correct, there's nothing stopping you from replacing Win2k with RHEL.
But you probably already paid for the Win2k when you bought the server, didn't you?
To reach the most people, I say we start with Minesweeper and Solitaire.
