...so now the cell phone company knows where you are at all times, when you watch tv, what you talk about, and what kind of pr0n you watch as you.. uh.. 'type'.
I agree. I worked for a year and a half with a geotechnical engineering place, and one of my jobs was to get the service providers to do locates so we could figure out where to make test holes.
The problem is that each service provider has their own idea of when this should be done. Some don't even know where their services run. If they do know, they only check within a few feet of the preposed test hole. So this means that once phone, sewer, and water have agreed, natural gas comes along and says to move the hole 10 feet to one side. Now the locates need to be done all over again. Often when calling them back to locate in a new place, theyd just say "enh, youre fine.".
Are you serious?
I've only ever used old keyboards, like circa 1990. I somehow accumulate them. The only times ive switched are after hitting it (before dumping windows) and another that I got bored of what id written on it.
Makes me glad I haven't broken down and bought a shiny new one.
I think an ART DI/O with a cheap soundcard feeding it a SPDIF signal would give you WAYY better sound.
Plus with some mods you have a world class DAC on your hands. Add a T-AMP (if there as good as I'm told) and some totem monitors or the like and youre set.
In the most striking experiment, the brain was linked to the jet simulator. Manipulated by the electrodes and a desktop computer, it was taught to control the flight path, even in mock hurricane-strength winds.
Are maxtors really that bad? Ive head rumors of them sucking, but never heard a story first hand of troubles. Just wondering cause I have 2 Diamondmax 300gb drives, and was about to buy another. The only reason I dont get the seagates (I've heard they're really nice) is the cost difference, and the fact Ive only seen favourable reviews of the maxtor line.
He didn't say DIRE consequences. He said it will cause problems.
If you are too stupid to realize that the removal of a food source for a species could cause problems for a while, then you might as well just kill yourself.
And you do not know that the environment will NOT be adversely affected.
Your post was just as pointless as the one to which you responded. I see no evidence to suggest your position either. And you claim to be right.. he said the balance could be effected, you said it WILL NOT. Back that up please.
It really depends on luck. I have an MSI and an ABIT mobo. If I plug my pci express gforce 6600 in the MSI, no matter what driver combo, etc. it will lock up at least once a day. Ive read the forums, etc.. none of the suggested solutions worked. With the ABIT mobo, everything works flawlessly from install.
These problems that some people have have been going on for over a year now, and NVIDIA hasn't managed to figure them out. Although I agree NVIDIA drivers are the best (the ati drivers I tried wouldn't even go in), they are still far less than usable on some systems.
Yeah, blacklist.. genius..
Ever clue in to the fact most cds get released on the internet BEFORE your sorry store sees them?
nice try though.
How many people on your list now?
Do that many people honestly walk in and announce "I AM GOING TO POST THIS MUSIC ONLINE EVERYONE!". Can't say I ever have. To each their own.
Oh, and as an aside.. seriously.. if you wanna make money.. you SURE that christian rock is the place? aside from the fact theyre less likely to pirate music, if your local laws prohibit such sharing, its not too popular. As a music lover, I hate the crap that is called popular music, but as a business owner one should realise that popular == sales. Just a thought.
The power to my house may go through 100s of miles of cables, it only goes through one short power cable after the power conditioner. Thats where power cords could (maybe?) make a diff. I really don't understand the people who use them w/o conditioners though. I have heard claims that some of the brading patterns work as a low pass filter.. but I have never researched it to confirm the claims.
So, do you have windows?
Does your house use standard 5-pin pin drop locks?
You're obviously an idiot if you get robbed, and its your own ault.
sorry, I hate bad analogies. It takes a lot more skill to break into an insecure windows computer than a house. Im not saying MS shouldn't be fixing the problems, but what we need is a way to punish the criminals doing the damage. They have a lot of funding too, and will always find a way.
Another option is to kill everyone who is stupid enough to click on links in spam. To quote the simpsons "Just don't look", and advertising will go away.
with mandrake erm, mandriva rather, I have never had the issues you describe here. As long as i stick to the default repositories (and perhaps andyrtr for some more updated stuff) I've had nearly no problems.
Occasionally a library won't install or something, but then you can either wait a couple days till its fixed, or compile from source.
I wasn't arguing that. Of course its a balance of the frictions, but from my experience top gear in your car at low rpms (say 60-90km/h) would be most efficient as few (read none) of us drive cars that idle at like 130km/h in top gear:)
Wrong and wrong.
Sure in the low gear you are pushing no air, but do you have any idea how much friction goes on in an engine? You only extract like 35% of the energy from the gas due to it. Thats why downshifting works, at 3-4k rpm and no gas applied it feels very similar to applying the brakes. Your most efficient speed is in your tallest gear (most distance travelled (useful work) per revolution of engine (waste due to friction). I dont think powerband of an engine has anything to do with fuel efficiency though. So maybe low revs in top gear.

excuse me?
A cinema is a dark and QUIET environment? Either what you said makes no sense or you have one hell of a party going on in your briefcase.
Obviously gentoo isn't for you.
May I suggest mandrake until you learn partience, and how to compile from source.

what a mess.

What are you talking about. Riker got a twin, or does he not count cause he wasn't evil?
I dont know my voyager, but I doubt they left out an evil twin episode in there either..
looking at those rules, I really doubt it would ever block something you wanted.
Also, who cares? if it was important, you'll notice.
then get your ass back to digg, troll.

So is that a trupe? what is it called when its a dupe dupe?
..Huh

The overlords joke again?
You might as well just kill yourself.
Impressed?

another chance to get that karma up.

GL tho on that store.

Voice recognition eh? I happen to use an iPaq 4150 and am going of to school soon, are there any voice recognition programs that actually work?
Wouldn't you rather download it from iTunes canada at 99 canadian cents per track ;)
