    to that space dust collecting module that sort of crashed into the ground (parachutes failed to open) last year? I guess it was supposed to be caught by a helicopter but the damn chute screwed up. Wasn't that supposed to have collected some of this magic dust?

    ya, reminds me of a CSI (Vegas) episode. They're examining some blurry security video from a crime scene, one of the crime technicians says 'focus in on his eye!'... so they zoom up and guess what, they can read a newspaper or something reflecting in the perps eyeball.. lol

    Torrents don't need the tracker to be online anymore with dht networks. The network could remove the link but it would still be easily accessible by anybody looking on google.

    That hard sounds realistic or tenable to ask an isp to install some sort of monitoring software and/or software on their equipment their customers own.. Even the hard core Bush patriots wouldn't let their isp's invade their privacies with such nonsense.

    Are universities special in some way that allows the FBI free reign to invade peoples privacy ?? Universities/Colleges are made-up of mostly adults iirc.. and they're citizens of the country for the most part. Have they given up some sort of constitutional right because they're enrolled in a 4 year program ?!

    Why isn't the FBI asking consumer-level isp's to install backdoor software on their customers ? College student or an isp subscriber, whats the diff...

    Guess you're not on the right torrent sites... public trackers like mininova/suprnova/etc are as slow as you described but there are plenty of ratio'ed/private sites that tv shows/movies can be downloaded from very quickly. Last night I grabbed episode 8 of Rome in under 15 minutes, maxed out my connection at 500KB/sec. Try signing up for bitmetv.org or filelist.org or something like that, if they're accepting new users.
