    I have never installed it our bought a system pre-installed. I might have touched a machine once that was using it. I still run XP-Pro. It works perfectly.

    I use these to run my cable up the shelves being my desk. There is an easy place to get all of the declutter stuff you need. It's called Home Depot.

    You have it all wrong. There were two completely different Window development trees.

    Windows 3.xx, 95, 98, me were all variations of a windows that sat on top of DOS and were not run in large memories and not very protected (secure).

    Windows NT 3.x, 4.x, 5 (2000 and XP) 6(vista) and then 7 (which really should be 6 but they decided to bump it up because of the failure of vista).

    There is a larger problem here and a good study of history clearly reveals this. The increase in the morally despicable content in video games is indicative of the morally corrupt of society. While I am not promoting "morality police" here, I am just a good study of world history and human nature. In nearly every case of societal downfall (the Roman Empire is a good example of this), the morality of the failing society degraded as a precursor to the process. This can be attributed as either a symptom of the problem or the cause, but either way is it indicative of the occurrence. Our society is heading, down this very same path at such a rate that the wise in these matters are alarmed. The problem is, the majority of society is unaware and just continues down the same path.

    That is right. Games are way to much a "me too" industry. We are waiting for the next really "new" thing. The WII was a new thing and it sold like gangbusters.

    Yea, power 'users' typically have no software development background. I do and I do not want to waste my time figuring out how to add a feature to gimp. I just want to use it and get on with my day.

    I don't know what planet you are on.

    Every PC that I have worked on in the past 6 years have had 1394 on it. Always at least one port, sometimes 2 (one front and one on the back). Every Dell HP, and Asus machine has had one. Every DV camera (from dirt cheap to high end) has used 1394 for video transfer.

    XP64 runs all of my games, software, and hardware perfectly. No trash. No bloat. No calling home. No problems.

    They (the liberals) have already destroyed the first two parts of the first amendment "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof" by laws that 'separate church and state'. What makes you think that they won't destroy the 3rd part of this amendment? They are basically socialists in disguise anyway.

    Your infrastructure went from nearly nothing to nearly state of the art. Your infrastructure was developed in the U.S. When you have to upgrade because what you have doesn't work that is one thing. The infrastructure in the U.S. is gradually upgraded so, you have to pay for the existing before you can upgrade. This infrastructure is costly to keep up with. A moving target is much more costly than a fixed one.

    At some point the broadband in the U.S. will pass you up but, it will be in the future when yours is aging.

    This spending does not fall under the 4 catagories that the federal government is in charge of. That is the biggest problem with spending at that level. If it doesn't fall under one of the 4 catagories laid out in the constitution, the spending is illegal and just wrong.

    That would put the government in charge of maintenance on the system. This would guarantee poor service for everybody. Have you ever tried helping an elderly person get their medicare straightened out or get their SS benefits corrected?

    I want to know "on behalf of what parent with a kid in that school are the suing?" Nobody has a right to sue unless they are directly effected by this. The ACLU is on very questionable ground here. This is typical for these nut jobs.
