I had a philosophy prof at NYU. He asked how many phil majors were in the class of about 100. 3 hands went up. He then asked if their parents knew the were philosophy majors. After that he told them their diplomas could be used as telescopes to see the end of the unemployment line.
Looks ready to auger in. Nice profit for the shorts on this one. When would you cover this one? There may be residual value at some point (office space, chairs etc). 20.5->0.25 or so would be my guess of maximal profit.
Bring it on. I think they should rename themselves Icarus Operation
I just bought a MBP core duo. The new parallels sw is a VMclone and makes it easy to run other OS's. So, you get the stability of OS X and put MrBill in a sandbox. Also you can run your beloved Ubuntu if the need is there.
But wait... I must be missing something and better sell it, run for the hills and buy something else!
Billy was sent that by Lrrr from Omicron Persei 8 while Lrrr and Nd-Nd were waiting to watch another episode of Single White Female Lawyer. You will need to take it up with Lrrr and tell Lrrr he's possibly violating Earth's circa 2k copyright laws. Lrrr will be glad to help you sort it all out, hes understanding and compassionate. If you hear him wanting harvest any of your horns though I would probably drop your query and hide.
postscript to b) Last I heard, Capt Asseline is flying cargo in Fl.
As was said, overriding the safetly systems to make for an impressive flyby. Once they realized they weren't going to clear the trees the spool up time on the engines seems to have been a factor since they weren't pulling enough power to get them out of that until they started sucking branches.
At the beginning of April 2006 @Sony's Shinagawa plant, they had a Blueray system running right there in the waiting area on an HD display. I doubt any demo would be a fake given they already have the working hardware/software. Story just doesn't make sense.
I am Nobutu Bangari and I am in posession of a large consignment of gold that my people left me some time ago. you are free to dig here to find it but as a token of good faith I ask that you remit to my swiss bank account a small fee that we will reimburse to you once the bullion is secured by you.
etc
Just translate that and no-one would dare bother digging.
I think a lawsuit (if it happens) whould be to discourage businesses from selecting Linux. I am sure there are a lot of corporate IT depts out there now that at one time would never have considered Linux, now are selecting it for all the reasons we use it for. Whats better is the growth has been a cushion for these IT managers to not have to be out there on their own. One way Microsoft can turn the table is to sow a little fear in the IT managers boss. Just a wiff of a patent lawsuit or some form of injunction and it would have the desired effect of steering some IT depts away from Linux and towards Microsoft. Its a bit hard from a conceptual point of view to see how you pin the tail on this one, whats injunct worthy here is not necessarily so elsewhere. Not to mention the ill will it may engender. Still corporate Vista is on track so they say, and thats the one Ballmer would be trying to force upon IT depts. The timing would be right, sow the lawsuit, reap the rewards.
As these Luddites in training will find as they eshcew science, the population is not sustainable today with science, with enough of these new mouth breathers they won't (in the limit) have the wherewithal to cure themselves. Thus, the population will ultimately shrink, science will then once again cycle back in vogue and repeat.
I was working in college as a data lab helper kinda person when two people approached me and said they could not write their thesis to the floppy. When I went over to see what they were doing the were at the abort, retry, ignore prompt as the disk was indeed having a problem. When I asked them did they have a backup, they replied they had put the backup floppy in during the critical error handler loop and now.... the backup too was unreadable. Just got to love the critical error handler and no media change detect on those old DOS pre 2.0 releases...:)
To the audience there it was irrelevant since they by definition did not drop out. To someone hearing about the speech anecdotally then I agree, we must then examine if he was or was not advocating dropping out.
I knew a waitress at a fancy restaurant and she told me if she was wearing a bikini and had her mouth open you could not see any of he piercings and she had 5 piercings. Really nice girl, you would never guess she had made these mods.
So is this connected in any way to that old Windows app? I used to use Image Composer and for the most part it was ok. I came with a Frontpage freebie I got 5+yrs ago.

Pity the poor slob that get a royalty on the shutdown sound, only the startup sound is a moneymaker in windows.

There was a classic quote back when... (I think it was Blodgett whilst on cable

pumping away at some issue)
"Traditional valuation methods no longer apply in the New Economy"
That wouldn't happen again right? We exhausted the supply of greater
fools didn't we?

I can hear Philip J. Fry now...
Fry: "wooo hoo, two women, one man! Bring it on!"
Leela: "Did you even read the announcement?"
Fry: "Didn't have too, two women was all I needed to hear"
pence even.

Work with the gist of the story. Its like the guy in CS class complaining the professor didn't put a semicolon on the blackboard pseudocode.
