Here is a report reflecting the current Nand Flash prices. Shows that its not far off in future that these things will be available for desktops on a reasonable and competitive price.
Its not the size of the harddrive which is amazing. Its the read/write speed. Even if you get a 32GB model, you can install windows on it and use the regular SATA2 HDD for movies/music storage. Think of the booting time.
Or is it that users remember the havok it caused when the switch from win98 to winxp occurred and are just afraid?
