His [Matt Mullenweg's], intent with that comment is irrelevant. This manner of action is unacceptable for the Lead Developer.

I do believe the Wordpress dev's have just officially killed the project (as it is now). People are NOT going to put up with this. "Fork the project" you say ? More like, "take said fork, and shove it up your @$$."

Come on folks, Atlantis should have been the last series (unless they've got some VERY compelling plots here). It's time to say goodbye (well, when Atlantis finishes its run anyway).

Precisely, you may gain some time with a good boot script, but one of the tenets of Linux is the lack of need to reboot. ;) However, this is more useful to people with linux on laptops, who tend to reboot more often.

  6. Much Better Idea. on Oblivion Expansion Confirmed · · Score: 0

Bethesda should remake Morrowind with the enhancements from Oblivion. If you combined the tech in Oblivion into Morrowind, that game would be phenomenal. Don't get me wrong, Oblivion is good, but it lacks key things that made Morrowind a truly epic game.

  7. Metal Arms... on Sequels We'd All Like To See · · Score: 0

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System by Swinging Ape Studios, brilliant/hilarious dialog, and a surprisingly good game to boot. The ending left you begging for a sequel, but there will probably never be one. But as for sequels that "might" actually get made : Starcraft 2 baby.

  8. Re:1st one good idea, 2nd one bad idea on Two Stargate SG1 Films Announced · · Score: 0

I agree, but we are talking about the formerly #1 show on Sci-Fi channel (now occupied by BSG), but 2 movies ? Come on, that reeks of "milking the cash cow dry". Granted, I thought the show should have ended 2 seasons ago with the defeat of the Replicators, but they've at least developed the Ori in a decent fashion (plus they got Morena Baccarin [from Firefly] for Adria, a definite plus).

Lemme clarify that, your right we do need the MPAA, but DRM (on these disks) we can live without. Quite frankly, the use of downloading a 20gb file escapes me. Shoot for that size, you would be better off renting it from Netflix or something. I do take major issues with the tactics often used by the MPAA (and the RIAA for that matter).

Extremely lucky is a better word for it. With the rampant stupidity that runs loose in many of these campus IT staff, he's very lucky they didn't push the matter; if that had gone any farther (like pressing possible charges) it would be very difficult to stop, even if he was innocent.
