There is a difference, because a lot of corporate buyers have a site licence for MS Windows. They simply load their standard OS image onto each new machine and blow away whatever was loaded on it. My last company was like this.
I think the best way to achieve the photos they need without people in them is to remain in one spot and use a long exposure time. Anything moving won't get picked up. The only people in the shot will be those who are sitting still for a long time.
Farmers in Australia have been known to do this too. In the 1980s, the Peugeot 504GLD was one of the few diesel powered cars available (apart from the horrible Holden Gemini Diesel) On a trip I did to a rather remote place called Lake Cargelligo, the two most popular cars were the Holden Kingswood (popular everywhere in Australia, particularly remote areas) and the Peugeot 504GLD, with a smattering of Diesel Mercedes as well. You can't tell me none of those farmers were filling the car from the farm tank.
Maybe so that paralegics and quadriplegics can use stairs like everyone else? A lighter and slimmer version would be a superior solution to using an electric wheelchair, provided it can be done sufficiently cheaply.
It would be illegal to do any of this work yourself. You have to be a licenced electrician to do anything that connects to the mains or the phone system, including network cabling and despite mandatory use of RCDs on mains switchboards.
The only way you can become an electrician is to do a four year apprenticeship. (and of course become an ETU member), regardless of what experience, knowledge or ability you may already possess.
This is ostensibly for safety, but is more about the closed shop mentality of the electrical industry and union power.
Even my A$180 Nikon compact camera has a mode where it knows when it's looking at a face and uses that to decide what to focus on. It can't tell one face from another, but rudimentary face recognition is definitely finding its way into consumer products. As a matter of fact this one gets less false positives than a human would.
There are numerous other reasons not to have soft drinks in school canteens, including the sugar content. In NSW most school canteens have a policy of offering healthy food choices, and I don't hear the kids conplaining.
While it's true that aluminium obtained from bauxite requires insane amounts of energy, the same is not true for aluminium that is recycled, which is why cans are worth so much as scrap.
If the aluminium and gallium are recycled in this process, as others have suggested, it should be quite viable energy wise.
Nonetheless, cars have got heavier. Here in Australia, for example. My Ford XF Falcon - about 1400kg. A current model BA Falcon - more than 2200kg. These figures are from memory and not necessarily accurate, but they aren't far off.
Cars also have more sound deadening to achieve NVH improvements, larger and heavier wheels, more rigid structures for better handling, NVH and crash test performance. All of this adds up to heavier.
Also, people's expectations of performance have changed. Let's look at small cars here. Our family had a Renault 12 Station Wagon in the 70s with a roughly 1100cc carby fed engine. It transported a family of five plus dog, cat and box trailer over 700km each way on holidays.
Nowadays, even shopping trolleys start at 1300cc and go up from there.
Plus add tightening emissions standards since the mid 70s and you can see why fuel consumption figures haven't improved.
That doesn't always work. In Australia at least, the networks all schedule their ads to come on at the same time, so you can watch the ads on Nine, the ads on Seven, the ads on Ten or teh ads on SBS.
Myself I find the ad breaks are just long enough to toast a crumpet:)
There is also the disease leprosy which does not actually directly cause loss of limbs, etc. Leprosy patients lose the ability to feel pain, and thus releatedly injure themselves without realising it, ultimately causing loss of fingers, toes etc.
It is a new device that replaces hard disks in some applications. That range of applications will increase over time as the downsides are overcome and the price comes down. Similar to digital cameras vs film, or cars vs horses & buggies.
I had to BUY a driver from TurboPrint to get my Canon inkjet to work under Linux. Will Kodak be providing drivers for CUPS, will they open their specs so someone else can do it?
Or will they take the path of Lexmark, Canon, et al and provide zero?
Safest way around this is to have more regular memory. If you have two gig or more you aren't likely to need a swap file unless you are rendering video or something. You shouldn't be using a laptop like this one for that.
It crossed the pacific ocean to Maitland, NSW. You can have it back now...

Surely whether it's German or Polish depends on the year?

What have you got against People Eating Tasty Animals?

Try Club Penguin They claim to achieve kid friendliness through actually having on-line chaperones as you describe.
My 8yo son is a member, but lost interest quickly and now prefers Runescape.
I'll race you up the stairs. You use a wheel chair, I'll use one of these.

Hey, they have to start somewhere!
Yay! I'll be able to see rocks on Mars better than I can see my own street. Probably more up to date as well.

Let's see,
1. We've done the toilet humour reference.
2. We've done the Microsoft reference.
3. We've done the George Bush reference

4. Oh Yeah... Profit!!!

So yes, pain is important.
"You are very difficult website!"
I've said it before:
The internet:
Where men are men, women are men, and little girls are FBI agents.
If you RTFWS you would see that they do offer teachers a right of reply.
