well lets see .. if he put in an extended Li like lenovo uses i think their largest is 90wh.. and the newest Jasper uses 150w.. so using that i don't see any more than 25-30m.. probley less cause that 150w doesn't take the LCD into account.. which is a desktop one so about 30w.. so 180w... 90wh.. yea 30min at best on the very first use of the battery

actualy that isnt' as bad as you think.. once you read MS's terms for windows licensing in virtual enviroments you realize that it isn't a affordable option

    example

server 2008 virtualization under server 2008 culster -- if you have 4 physical boxes and 4 virtual machines that can be moved between the 4 physical ones you will need a licens for each host (physical) and one for each host (virtual) per physical host (aka you will need one for each posiable virtualization senerio) so 4p + (4p*4v) = 20 licenses (and that is before you get into CAL's which have the same virtual to physical tie in. so say you want 100 call's per virtual box you will need 4p*4v*100c = 1,600 cal's instead of 400..

obviously the rates are diffrent - normal is a flat cost - and time of use is a varried - higher than normal on peak and lower off peak

they will install a time of use for free at no cost - the only trick is - once you REQUEST to switch to a time of use you can not go back to a normal meeter. if on the other hand you move into a house that has a time of use you can use it and later if you want request to go to a normal - it's just once you request to go to a time of use youc an't go back.

personaly the time of use (once we realized that is what we had) is nice and realy helps lower our power bills by jsut changing a few things in our way of life - without having to spend larger sums of money replacing things with more effecient things
