Well it means that anything designed for Chrome will display correctly in/any/ Webkit based browser, so if it gets to the point (hypothetical) that everything is designed for Chrome, you can still use any of the following browsers: Safari, Adobe AIR, phones(iPhone, Android, Nokia Series 60), Epiphany, Konquerer (soon?). So if you don't like bloated, pick a new browser. Or make your own. Apparently Webkit is easy to use..
Personally, I like having a browser that can use multiple processors.

Honestly, why would anyone care about your opinion if the only reason you use a browser is because a website you pay for refuses to make their site work right?
It's not a flaw in the browser, it's a problem with Netflix.
Why is spawning a bunch of threads a bad thing? I thought we wanted more programs to take advantage of multiple cores. Is there some sort of performance disadvantage to having too many?
You're missing that section "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion". You're getting the "prohibiting the free excerise thereof" part, but the first part means that the government (which public schools are part of) can't make laws giving preference to religion (by teaching religion in public schools).
Yeah. I was a little worried about not seeing any security warning when going to sites with self-signed certs, but what it is does when you suppress the error message is have the normal error bar says that perspectives has verified the site and blocked the security error. It's still there, but it's much less intrusive than Firefox's way.
The thing is, no one is forcing the people of Kansas to vote for this guy. He just has some money to do advertising with. If you gave a guy who no one likes a million dollars to campaign with, he'd still lose because don't like him. If this guy wins, it will be because people know who he is AND they agree with him.
Maybe they should just wait 6 years after they were planning to release an OS and then release it. I didn't use Windows XP until about 2 years ago because I finally started running into programs that didn't work right in Win 2000, and I had a computer fast enough to deal with it.
Windows bootup using i-ram (hard drive made out of DDR memory):

This seems like it should be similar to what they are talking about.
The difference is that they are not stealing your phone, they're saying "You can't come into my house with your phone, but you can leave it in the front closet if you want."
You're missing the point. These are still people YOU KNOW. There are people who click on ads, people who think the blink tag is useful, people who pay AOL for their dialup, etc..
Just because Aptitude works doesn't mean there's any MIPS packages to download.
I don't think Tennis is to the sort of thing you'd use telepresence for..

Those "this page has moved" pages are annoying. Why not use a 301 Permenently Moved Error and have the browser do the work for you?

AC? Heat? What is this? We don't have AC in Colorado, and I wouldn't want to be the guy caught actually TURNING ON his heater..

The problem is that the BBC is funded by the British government (read: the people in the UK). They ARE taxed on this.
I very much doubt that a species with one female left is likely to recover.
In this thread do we get good kharma for trolling?
Because if so you should click this link.

No, you're behind the times. That was LAST year. This year, everything Apple does is evil and non-creative. Get with the times man!

Because government owned monopolies don't tend to work very well.
Just to add to this, here's a video of a fighter jet flying into a wall designed for a nuclear power plant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--_RGM4Abv8
DD-WRT is firmware for a router. So it's exactly like being behind a normal linksys router, except it doesn't suck.

I found at least 3 for Linux. I also found some references to Microsoft's "FFS2" and M-System's "TrueFFS", but I can't find any info about them.
Windows programs aren't that great. It would be nice to be able to run Gnome when I'm forced to use Windows though (for things like Illustrator).

$100/4 = $25/month per phone How is this expensive?
Why bother? It's just as fast to reinstall Windows (and you can do it on the same partition, so all you lose are a few settings).
