I don't think people are comparing the PS3 to the xBox 360 pro, they're comparing to the normal xBox 360 which is $200. I wouldn't buy an xbox 360 pro either.
No you're getting it all wrong, see the RIAA says a single CD is worth 1.5 mil dollars, so if your CD goes platinum with 1,000,000 copies sold, they should get about $1.5 trillion in sales.
Except for 214,000 gold is about 214x more expensive than anything I've ever seen sold in an auction house (20 slot bags) and I can't imagine how you could possibly spend that much money.
As far as I know, any new browser has the option to turn off tabbed browsing (in firefox you go to options then "tabs" (on the top) and change "New Windows Open in.." from tabs to a new window.
Or you could, you know, decide for yourself if you want to share cars like this. I happen to not care what car I'm driving as long as it moves, and if I could get a car that drives itself cheaper than paying for a car, I think I could handle not actually owning one.
(not to mention that I prefer to walk, so having a car isn't very useful for me most of the time)
I think the point is that Usenet.com doesn't just have copywrited music, it's a major part of their advertising. Like if phone companies advertised as "A great way to plan terrorist attacks!" or something.
(not that I think they should lose, I just think that it's more complicated than people are making it)
Clearly we need a better way to protect our children, as some people are finding ways to get around the DRM. Don't they realize it's for their own protection? I propose that all music CDs have a program on them that erases the hard drive of whatever computer it's placed in, and that all music on the CD be hashed to make sure no one can break the encryption on it.
Let's see them listen to Britney Spears now!
I agree. If the choice is between spending a couple hours to download something that you can use however you want with no hassle, or paying 10x the value of the product for something you can barely use, piracy is the obvious choice.
I prefer Notepad2. It's nice and small, and does syntax highlighting a bunch of languages. I mostly use it when writing HTML, but I sometimes open C++ files in just because it does that thing where you click on one bracket and it highlights the other.
I thought that adium was basically gaim restyle to match OSX, in which case it would sort of be cheating to list it separately from gaim/pidgin. I didn't realize there were any other differences..
I don't how much of a difference it would make but, tablet PC's are much lighter than 4+ textbooks that most school give. Possibly could save money down the line on back problems..
I was under the impression that Apple forces all of the music to be sold at the same price (hence why all of the songs on iTunes before this DRM thing were $.99).
The game you're describing sounds like an FPS based on the Sims.

Did anyone else see the headline and think "What took them for long, I've been playing Asteroid for years.."?
The Universe is not something that you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes.

Real geeks don't need operating systems. They just use arrays of on/off switches.

Maybe the fact that the author of the paper is the one saying that it's wrong?
Snake on a Phone?

Doesn't that get rid of the point of rebooting? I use hibernate when I want to stop using power, and reboot with Windows gets screwed up..

Didn't they do this same thing with XP? Hopefully Vista SP2 will be worth using..
What does string theory have to do with 200,000 elliptical galaxies all pointing the same way?
But the army of black clad figured in the background isn't paid for 50 years because they worked the concert.

Isn't adium just a ripoff of gaim/pidgin with a mac-looking skin?
Verizon doesn't offer it. (Which is why I will be using T-Mobile)
Who needs billions when you can have MILLIONS?
