I know some mini-itx boards support quad cores. That would be enough to do just about anything you can think of. Emulators, movies, etc. And if your worried about bumps boot from a usb stick. Or if your hard core about storage, SSD.
But have you considered what fresh hell it must be for her? She has to exist with a condition that best leaves her unable to control how/when she experiences sexual desire. And unlike guys, she can't just "ignore it." It would be like walking around with a boner that won't go down. It would be socially painful to do anything normal, go watch kids on a playground for example. Can you imagine the pure humilation she experiances when she doesn't have control over her body?
DOESN'T mean he'll stop. He may not hold the political office anymore but he may become what Jack Thompson has been for us Americans. A real pain in the ass that doesn't seem to know how to stay down. .
I have a more interesting idea. The toys are assembled ad hoc using nano assemblers, the bag merely contains the materials to assemble the toys using predefined parameters. This would work based on his 24 hour schedule since each toy would "activate" at a specified time and would save ALOT of volume.
I'm curious what kind of codec they'll be using. That's something no one has stopped to ask it looks like. If they were to use something like motion jpeg they MIGHT get away with it. It'll make you shudder at the quality, but the compression would be helpful.
That's interesting. In the long run they might not have to do a data center in every city. They could utilized a p2p architecture to remedy some of the problems gamers experience.
You argue that latency is not going to be overcome anytime soon. While I can see your point about sending video vs real time data, I would have to argue against that. Not the benefits/risks about delivering the medium, but the latency issue. As it stands, we are using copper to send information. And you are correct in pointing out that latency is a huge issue there. But you also seem to argue that its a issue that is impossible to overcome in the future. That's where I have to disagree. The trend seems to be a combination of Fiber to the home and fiber to the node. And I won't disagree that the connection itself isn't the only problem, it is one that can be remedied in the future. You'll still see latency of course, but more then likely 50ms will be on the high end.
I would LOVE to see how Scientology pans out if the law were enforced. Since it has been mentioned Ireland has a catholic base, the law could be used in interesting, if not unfair ways. I personally dislike most mass religions but that doesn't mean I wish to see a point of view repressed. No matter my personal view on its constituents behavior.
Yes, I do understand basic geography. But the concept behind V was overarching political power using media, religion and fear. Something that seems to be sweeping normally sane nations.
It would be a head of monumental proportions, but Contiki ( http://www.sics.se/contiki/ ) could probably be made to run on it. It would give you a gui interface of sorts and ipv6 support, though I doubt you could use that part.
What if they were to arrive in our solar system and not care about us? I mean, what if they didn't care about lifeforms? It's a huge assumption that they are looking for others like them. That's a drive that seems to be uniquely human. As far as I know, no animal on earth goes around comparing surrounding species to themselves. I use the earth animal example because we have no other species to compare in the vicinity of our solar system. But back to the point, What if they arrive and simply ignore us?
Kinda like the interface from avatar. And just about every other Science Fiction story I've read.

Except you probally didn't have deal with orgasming in front of people, including family, friends.

Seriously, I was expecting something like a bot ring or involvement in a virus that spread via the game.
There wouldn't be a excuse for tiny amounts of space even on the lowest of the low end phones.
Rule 34. That's how.
He's CENSORING the output of his speech! :p
He has burning feet? :p Had to say it. It's interesting to see the reduction in space.
Like the ipad? :p Seriously, thats the only useful thing I can think of for the giant phone.

But it was kinda funny, right above the article title was a statement on how to filter firehose.

They do have a port for power architecture , its called the xbox360. :p
Since they are basically describing a function in iTunes, i wonder if they will run afoul of apple and their "Lawyers of Doom" (TM).

It's like watching V for Vendetta in real life. 0.o
YOU STOLE MY COMMENT! :p It's kinda weird that this device keeps popping up on slashdot. I mean, its not anything special.
Why not a posthumous award for those that aren't among us fleshbags?
