Did you look into Logitch Harmony universal remotes? They work off of 'activities' rather than 'devices', meaning you click watch TV, and it will turn your TV on and to the right channel and turn on the cable box, and then while in the watch TV activity, it will send volume up and down to the TV and channel up and down to the cable box. It's kind of geeky to setup, but it's pretty simple to use
You seem to be confused. '.22' doesn't mean '.2.2' it's just a single revision number. So going from.21 to.22 is no less meaningful than going from.1 to.2
Not Universal (they had Hulk, but that went back to Marvel) but there is still Sony who owns Spider-Man rights and Fox who own X-Men rights (not sure about the other characters that were done before, such as Fantastic Four and Daredevil at Fox and Ghost Rider at Sony).
Anyway, I believe any current deals will stay, but then when they expire it's assumed that they won't Marvel/Disney won't renew them.
I remember one time me and my friends played Super Mario Bros with a game genie, and we got super jumping ability. You could then jump over the flag at the end of the level, which, if I remember correctly, just had you running through a repeated background with nothing to do except wait for the time to run out.
I know this is a little off topic, and I'm sure it's been said before, but I'll say it anyway. This category really needs to be renamed. What percentage of 'Your Rights Online' actually specifically apply to rights on the internet? It should be 'Your Rights in the World' or even just 'Politics' or something like that.
Had to plop in here and say 'We do!' Every machine has Firefox and Thunderbird on it. Of course, we don't run Exchange, we run our mail on Postfix, so it's not a problem at all for us.
I see there's already a few comments that the code should be forked. The thing is, what is forking going to do for it? They are dropping support for Linux distros, but that's not saying it won't run on other distros, just that it's not supported. The only way a fork would do anything is if the forked version had it's own support as well.
A Gamecube game, it's more-or-less a Mario Party rip-off, but I actually prefer it to Mario Party. And not to mention the fact that I always get to play as my idol Animal:)
It's definitely fun, and it's got funny parts as well from Muppets sound bytes.
I couldn't help but notice that you say you actively watch The Office, but only watch My Name Is Earl via BitTorrent because you can't look up the show time. My Name Is Earl is on right before The Office. Thurday at 8pm on NBC is My Name Is Earl followed by The Office.
Hey, when you have a family to support, every penny counts! And besides, I hardly ditched Google, I just sent a search through there once or twice a week just to keep the discount active, then I usually ended up putting the same search into Google anyway:P
So are they saying that you no longer get the A9 discount at Amazon if you use the search page? That's the only reason I was using it! Without that discount, I, and I'm sure others, will no longer use their search.
Do you realize that the dad in that pirate family last night was one of the two guys that started Talk Like a Pirate Day? They even mentioned it quickly on the show.
I just wanted to clarify something. They aren't transfers from LaserDisc, they are transfers from a 1993 LaserDisc master. Big difference there. And I think crappy is a bit harsh. Do they look as good as they could? No. Are they anamorphic? No. But are they better than the LaserDisc-ripped bootlegs? At the time, I think the answer is yes. Granted, once the X0 Project gets completed, there might be some competition there. But for now, I think this is the best you're gonna see the legitimate non-SE original trilogy. (In other words, that doesn't include some where people integrated the 2004 DVDs with LaserDisc rips, while that's better quality, it's still not the same as a legitimate release)
I thought you were joking when you said MAFIAA! Here it's a legit thing 'Music and Film Industry Association of America'. How appropriate is that? Download files and the Mafiaa will be after you!
OK, this isn't exactly on topic, but it has to do with music on DVD, so I figured I'd post this.
Lots of CD players can now play mp3s. So, what I think would be cool, is if the car stereos and portable players would start playing DVDs with mp3s on them. That way, instead of 700MB of mp3s on one disc, you could have 4.7GB on one disc, maybe even 8.5GB with dual layer discs.
Am I the only one who thinks this would be a good idea?
I don't know if you're being serious, but the answer is yes. That is probably one of the prime factors people think of in terms of original vs SE, and if they claimed it was the original and didn't have that, they would just be shooting themselves in the foot. But I guess the foot would have to shoot at them first, missing horribly.
Anyway, one of the first images you see at starwars.com says This September: Original Unaltered Trilogy on DVD
See Han Solo shoot first

I won't believe it until Netcraft confirms it!

Why does it take Comedy Central to re-animate the corpses of great shows?
Um, I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure this is the first corpse that Comedy Central has re-animated.

Actually, it looks like the owner of Penisland.com knows exactly what his domain name looks like :)
PenIsland.net is what you were thinking of.
Is it just me, or is it a little ironic that the page that celebrates 10 years of CSS is so bland looking?

Or even years back, ie 2/8/6 (2002/August/6), 3/8/6 (2003/August/6) and 4/8/6 (2004/August/6)
Surely, I'm not the only one here who automatically equates Romero with George A. Romero, right? You know, the director of the Living Dead films.
Just had to mention that that's a great ROTLD reference!

I can't be the only one who thought, why are they putting Elton John's Your Song on this, can I?
