Ever heard of a pencil? Far more useful for note taking, especially when copying diagrams or illustrating methods etc.

  2. It depends on the class on Should Colleges Ban Classroom Laptop Use? · · Score: 1

During an English lecture or a biology presentation, I believe laptops serve little purpose. To me, a pencil and paper will provide a faster means of recording abstract ideas which can be re-documented later. Indeed, on more than one occasion, I've had to "pipe up" and tell a fellow student to STFU with the WoW garbage as it's a major distraction.

In an IOS, Java or electronics class however, I'll be far more productive with my own terminal emulator in my own environment, set up the way I want, and my own note taking software.

Apple don't even make the top 100 in the Fortune 500 (103rd I think). A 1.7% hiccup in AAPL will not cause a ripple in the general stock market, let alone drive the entire market down 1.5%.

First up, congrats on the commute - that's a good ride, I know it well. More lower North Shore folks should do it.

Have you tried a decent pair of knicks, a quality moisture wicking jersey and shoes/pedals with cleats? If not, you should. If you don't benefit from increased pedalling performance, you have probably been pushing through an inefficient postition/setup for years and risk long term knee/back injury. Also, wind resistance greatly outweighs resistance from under-inflated tyres (up to about 40% under-inflation). And, one would hope that anyone who spends over $200 on cycling clothing would know how to pump up their tyres :)
